lovely hotel - very clean and accommodated lots of different groups - friends, couples, families and business trips. Food was fantastic - breakfast was lovely with a waffle machine option! swimming pool and gym facilities although never used - looked quite small. Bar was lovely and welcoming. Room had everything you needed. Good price and 10 min (walk up steps to castle). managed to get parking too which was added value (although very small car park so don’t rely on hotel car park - ncp close by)! defo recommend hotel

Very good one night stay NYE 2025. Easy check in and spent a couple of hours in the spa - shame about the screaming/splashing kids but then it was holiday time. Room fine with comfortable bed and coffee making facilities. Shower was ok but nowhere to hang wet towels (and I mean nowhere). Had a coffee in the bar which is pleasant. Very good location, 5 mins from Grass Market and Greyfriars Bobby. A short but good visit.

Went to pool, too many kids, kids in the jacuzzi when it’s not even for them. Shower pressure was terrible. Sink was weird. No toothpaste given you have to go ask for it? I had to go on a waiting list for the pool? TV’s are severely outdated they advertise flashy words like “flat screen tv” like it’s something premium? Most TV’s are these days? It didn’t have any casting or smart functions at all. Toilet in the room, it was barely in the room. Right next to the front door in a dark room. I’ve been in comfier porta potties. No bin in the toilet. So I have to put my items in the bags provided and carry it around to the bathroom? And walk there to wash my hands. So unhygienic, so every person who stays touches the door handle without washing their hands? Wonder why you don’t show the toilet in the photos? Throughout the night children were screaming and running up and down the hallways, I made a complaint but I was told that this is what kids do? I can confirm no effort was made the stop this. Nobody came. Parking was terrible so much that even after paying the £22 they want to charge it’s terrible parking with very limited space. Instantly gave up my space and would rather walk 15 mins to hotel. For the price surely parking would be included?? I guess not when you stay at Novotel

We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children for 2 nights. Check in and check out all easy. Could store luggage securely. Friendly and informative staff. Great breakfast and super pool. Hotel very clean and welcoming.
