The room is very clean and modern. We love the purified water tap that is located in the toilet. Easy to access to wash and fill the kettle for boiling. Also it is environmental friendly. All good except no one is there for priority check in for Accor plus priority members. Ended up having to join a super long Q for both check in and check out cos of cash deposit. Also no free upgrade of rooms nor late check out despite being entitled to it for Accor priority members. Quite disappointed with front counter service. Got chilled by check out counter lady when I do not have my cash deposit receipt with me during in check out when no one told me to keep the receipt in the first place.

During our stay, we experienced very slow elevator service, with wait times reaching up to 4–5 minutes on several occasions.
Most disappointing, however, was being repeatedly contacted regarding checkout despite having a confirmed 1:00 PM late checkout. We received two calls—one at approximately 12:30 PM and another at 12:45 PM—asking when we would be leaving.
This created an unwelcoming atmosphere and left us feeling rushed and hurried out before our agreed checkout time had even reached.

Pros: Excellent location, smooth check-in/check-out. Also, despite being told otherwise by staff, the rooms do have USB ports.
Cons:
Cleanliness: Our first room had many small flies (a recurring issue mentioned in other reviews), forcing us to request a room change.
Service: Communication was incredibly disorganized. I was promised a callback in 5 minutes but never got one. When I called back, a different staff member knew nothing about my request. After a third call and mixed messages about room availability, we went downstairs to store our bags, only to find out from the receptionist that the new room was already ready. The second room was much better, but we chose this hotel for its brand name and higher price tag. The disappointing cleanliness and front-desk communication did not match the premium price.

Love the clean room with good view. The white fluffy towels and the comfortable beds. Like that filtered water is provided on the tap.
Didnt like the toothpaste provided. One of the two toothbrush packets came with the toothpaste packet that was already opened/torned. Luckily the other packet provided was okay.

A few pointers for hotel to note:
1.Air-con is loud even though fan speed at lowest.
2. Sewer smell in bathroom
3. Grab transport only can pin drop-off and not pick-up at Hotel lobby. Default pick-up pin in the app is lobby at Space Residency.
4. Basic utensils like teaspoons not available, no cup provided for tooth brushing.

Good location (next to KSL), superb service (especially the recetionist and servers at the morning buffet who went above and beyond for all their guests, 1 of them was Ali), clean and comfortable room (I booked 2 rooms, both were upgraded and as a platinum member, mine was upgraded to a suite, which is a very nice gesture that I truly appreciate it alot)

We loved the stay, especially the aircon! It’s a new property so the air conditioning was superb. Everything was great except the lift - it was ridiculously slow though there were 3 units.

2nd stay at Novotel City Johor. We stayed previously in July 2026 and had a wonderful experience. This time, we have 7 nights in Singapore after arriving from Japan and decided to spend two nights in Johor.
Upon arrival, we head to L36(?) to check in. Executive lounge Manager Izure is one of the most thoughtful ladies we have met. She remembers that my hubby doesn’t eat seafood from our first stay and asked if she can organize fried rice for him for dinner. She also offered an extra card for us to slot in the electric pocket (the one where you have to use one of your key card to trigger the electricity in the room). We were thoroughly impressed by her client centric service. Our room was ready when we arrived and we were upgraded to a suite (thank you very much and we are aware it’s subject to availability). Izura make everything so seamless, she is one of the best Accor executive lounge managers we have encountered.
We also noticed the lounge food and breakfast on L11 has gone up next level. There was very nicely cooked large prawns on our first night at the executive lounge. The breakfast spread in L11 is more than previously. The tey tarik remains my favorite drink.
The hotel is still very clean and so are our room ( nice unblocked views).
We like how close it is to KSL shopping centre (so we can get our massages here). It is also close to our fav chicken rice restaurant (Pine Chicken Rice).
The conceige team is ever so helpful.
One area for improvement would be housekeeping. The house keeping came at 5 pm to clean our room. Which is really late. We left our room deliberately after breakfast and returned about 4pm thinking that’s when our room would be cleaned. But it wasn’t and we decided to skip cleaning as we prefer to stay in our room.
Overall, it is an excellent stay and we definitely would love to stay again!

I was assigned to room 3306. Room toilet flush was a little faulty and water kept coming out. And as it was a connecting room, it was very noisy due to sound coming from neighbouring rooms. Hopefully i do not get assigned to similar rooms like these again.

I had an accident in the hotel , I slip on a paddle of water outside my room lift landing . I am unable to walk , sit or get out of bed by myself . The .hotel didn't not acknowledge my report of incident .
