The hotel is brand new, yet the atmosphere feels underwhelming for this category. The lobby is quite small, which takes away from the arrival experience. My room was decent, though the heavy toilet door was a minor daily struggle. More importantly, I felt the guest treatment was unequal. Despite requesting a special touch for my husband’s birthday, we weren't offered the welcome drinks or snacks often seen on social media, receiving only towel art instead. For a 4-star stay, I expected more consistent hospitality.

I was looking forward to the stay at Novotel JB. I had a 3 days 2 nights stay from 30 Apr - 2 May in room 2813. 1. The shower facilities was great until I realised there was a mix up in the hot and cold water supply from the tap in shower area. When switch the tape to hot, cold water runs out. 2. On 1st May evening, there was an electrical blackout. There was a good 20 mins without electricity in the room, nobody came to inform us what was going on. We tried to go to the lobby but elevators were not working. 3. We had breakfast buffet in the hotel. With the price I am paying, I would expect a little more variety. I do appreciate the novelty idea charcoal toasting of bread but need to work on better ventilation. Overall, this stay falls short of my expectations of Novotel. Hope with my little comments, Novotel will pick up and be better.

Although the room is small but it is comfortable and is fully equipped. Love that it's very close to KSL and the view is nice. Staff is super friendly and will definitely come back!
