I made a mistake with my booking, and it would have been easy for the staff (Miguel, I guess based on the invoice I downloaded) to simply point it out and leave me to deal with the consequences. Instead, the staff who assisted me handled the situation with kindness, patience, and professionalism. At no point did he make me feel embarrassed or foolish for my mistake. Perhaps he noticed that I was already tired from traveling, but whatever the reason, he chose empathy over procedure. What impressed me most was that he went beyond what was required. Some of the perks extended to me were not things I was entitled to receive, yet he offered them anyway. More importantly, he made me feel valued as a guest and as a loyalty member. A simple "Thank you for your loyalty" may seem like a small thing, but it is remarkable how meaningful those words can be to someone who had to beg for a late checkout from another hotel despite being a loyalty member. In an industry where loyalty benefits are sometimes treated as inconveniences and guests occasionally feel like they have to beg for services they have already earned, this experience stood out. The staff member's humility and genuine concern left a lasting impression on me. After my recent experiences elsewhere which made me wonder whether there is value in maintaining hotel membership, your staff made me believe again that there is still hope for hospitality in the Philippines.
