Loved the family room I stayed in. Service was excellent, helpful staff who communicated very well. Found the deal with airport transfer, late check out and 1 meal quite value for money, considering 3 of us stayed in the room. Enjoyed the secluded pool area as well. No complaints at all.

I am writing as a key member of the organising committee for a reunion of more than 200 guests hosted at Pullman Chennai from 11 to 13 September 2026. The rooms were well appointed and reasonably spacious. Housekeeping staff were polite and helpful. The rest of the experience fell short of the standard expected from the Pullman brand. There was a clear lack of warmth. Staff rarely smiled, and the stay did not feel welcoming. Basic hospitality training appears to be needed. Front office Standard check-in is 3:00 PM. Early check-in had been promised. Rooms were still not ready till 5:00–5:30 PM. This strongly suggested overbooking. Check-in itself was very slow. Staff at check-in, including Himanshu, were rude. Check-out was also slow, with similarly poor behaviour. Guests were not greeted as a matter of course. Public areas and facilities Air conditioning in the common areas, particularly the lift lobbies, was inadequate. The swimming pool is very small. There is no 24-hour café or bar. No welcome drinks were offered on arrival. Event and F&B Overall event handling and staff attitude were poor for a group of this size. Food quality at the event was average given the charges. On the night of 12 September, the bar team and the duty manager were uncooperative and negative. I had to open the Accor app and show them the bar timings in order to be served a drink. That should not be necessary in a premium hotel. The impression was that the hotel was not equipped to handle a large gathering of officers with the organisation and courtesy such an event requires. Pullman is positioned as a premium brand. On several counts this stay did not match that positioning. The overall experience was shabby and disappointing. I am unlikely to stay here again. I am sharing this so that the points can be reviewed internally.

We had a very pleasant stay at Pullman. The team kindly upgraded us to a suite, which was a lovely surprise and made our stay even more comfortable. As we had an early checkout, they also arranged packed breakfast for us, which we really appreciated. Overall, excellent hospitality and thoughtful service throughout our stay.

Every time I ordered for in-room dining, the line is not picked up and even if picked up and ordered, it is too late and sometimes it is not delivered at all. And regarding the transport, every day, without missing a chance, my transport was delayed for almost 40-45 minutes solid and once I was asked to board a vehicle which had only one seat and the co ordinator at the hotel was informing us there is room for three, I am one among the three who were waiting for our booked transportation. And the rash driving by all the drivers is also a point to be noted. As they were always called from the hotel management for their next trip. Instead of arranging more cabs at the disposal, they were managing only with 2-3 cabs. The only good thing that I would like to highlight here is the taste of the food and the variety of food that they have. Other than the service provided, the cleanliness and the cabin space is excellent to be happy about. I would recommend, if at all, only for these three points.
