Amanda S. Business - 9/20/2026 Confirmed reviews ALL

I had a room on the first floor above the entrance and was kept awake most of the night by people shouting, screaming, laughing out loud and smoking. (My previous visits on higher floors were OK.)

Dear Amanda, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us – and also for choosing our hotel again after your previous stays. We are very sorry that the location of your room this time resulted in such a disturbed night. Being kept awake for most of the night by noise from outside is understandably frustrating and certainly not the restful stay we would want for you. It is particularly unfortunate knowing that your previous experiences on the higher floors were much more positive. Should you stay with us again, please feel free to let our reception team know about your preference for a room on a higher floor. Subject to availability, we will always do our best to accommodate it. We sincerely hope your next visit will once again be as peaceful as the ones you remember from us. Best regards, Your ibis Köln Messe Team

Uschi V. B. Solo - 9/8/2026 Confirmed reviews ALL

I stayed for 5 nights, the room was simple, but for one person perfectly enough. Some parts in the shower and toilet could/ should be renewed as they were broken or leaked water while showering.

Dear Uschi, five nights certainly give you a good impression of a hotel, so we are pleased that you felt comfortable with our room concept and especially experienced our team as friendly and welcoming. Your comments regarding the shower and toilet are important to us. Fixtures should of course be fully functional, and we will make sure these points are passed on for further inspection. Thank you for your constructive feedback and for spending your time in Cologne with us. Best regards, Your ibis Köln Messe Team

Cozy, safe and quiet location. I was totally satisfied with quality of my stay. The staff is welcome and responsive. It’s easy to get to city centre, arrive or leave for other cities.

Dear Tatsiana, what a pleasure to read your feedback – thank you very much! We’re especially happy that you felt safe, relaxed and well looked after throughout your stay. Your lovely words about our team mean a lot to us and will certainly be shared with everyone. It’s also great that getting around Cologne and continuing your journey was so easy from our location. Nice and quiet hotel, with a good location, at a compatable price.

Dear Arkadiusz, thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! A good night’s sleep is one of the most important parts of any hotel stay, so we’re especially happy that you were able to relax and recharge with us. It’s also great to know that you found our overall offer to be a good fit for your trip to Cologne. We’d be delighted to welcome you back whenever you’re in the city again. Best regards, Your ibis Köln Messe Team

Lorna H. Families - 8/8/2026 Confirmed reviews ALL

Short walk from the train station, easy check in. Nice walk to local bars and restaurants then into the city. Room could have been cleaner as lots of marks on the toilet walls. Beds comfortable.

Dear Lorna, thank you for sharing your experience with us. It’s great to know that our hotel worked so well as a base for discovering Cologne and that you had a smooth start to your stay. We are sorry, however, that the cleanliness of the bathroom was not fully up to standard. We appreciate you pointing this out and will pass your feedback on to our housekeeping team. We hope your positive impressions will bring you back to us on another trip to Cologne. Best regards, Your ibis Köln Messe Team
