From having to wait an hour and a half past check in for our room keys to sand on the room floor over priced and under delivered

Booked a Suite, was okay but wouldn't bother with the extra room. No balcony off that room, it felt quite closed in. Stayed for 2 nights the cleaner came on but didn't make the bed just left it.

Staff friendly, hotel clean and tidy - come every year

Sadly, a disappointing stay after really looking forward to visiting. We paid extra for a room with a view, only to be given a room overlooking a mound of sand and a fence. Which there were only 2 or 3 rooms of this type. The room also didn’t feel particularly clean, with sand across the floor, and it hadn’t been properly prepared for four guests — the children’s bed wasn’t made up and there were only towels, robes and slippers for two. We raised the issues immediately and were told we could view alternative rooms the following morning, but when we returned to reception there seemed to be no record of this and we were then told we would have to pay extra to move. The hotel itself is in a fantastic beachfront location and has lots of potential, which made the experience even more disappointing. As a travel agent, I had particularly hoped this might be somewhere I could recommend to clients looking for an easy break from the UK, but unfortunately our experience fell well below expectations.

The hotel experience was extremely poor. The Hotel felt tired and in many places it was not clean . The glass out to the beach was widely so dirty you couldn’t see out (the view in the most important aspect of the Hotel. Our expensive room was tiny with a cheap feel. It was dirty - on arrival we couldn’t see through the dirt on the windows out to the beach. The terrace was stained and looked dirty and uncared for. The finish was poor with splashes of paint on the walls and in May places cracked and flaking. Much of the glass looking out to the beach around the Hotel had become opaque from dirt. In the restaurant the children’s menu largely comprised things containing very common allergens for kids. For example pasta with egg had been chosen and butter had been used to make the bolognaise. As a result my daughter could not eat anything on the menu. When I raised this with the waitress she pushed back saying egg in pasta was quite normal but suggested bolognaise with chips - my daughter chose plain chips - this was fortunate because we subsequently found out that the bolognaise contained butter and if she had eaten it it may have been a very serious anaphylactic event. The lifeguards in the pool were often lost in their books and frequently absent. The staff in reception were good but there were often queues and service was slow.

We were extremely disappointed by our recent stay at the Novotel. The hotel was, quite frankly, disgusting and very run down, and the standard was nowhere near what we have experienced previously. Our room was filthy on arrival, and the balcony was rusty and in a very poor state. Food and trays from room service were left in the corridors overnight, which was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic. Clean sheets and towel carts were also left in the corridors throughout the day, giving the hotel a very untidy and poorly managed appearance. At breakfast, there were consistently no cups available for hot drinks, which meant having to search for them or wait for staff to replenish them. We also found some of the staff at the bar to be particularly rude and unwelcoming, which added to an already disappointing experience. Overall, the hotel felt neglected, run down and poorly managed. This was especially upsetting because we have stayed in Le Touquet many times and genuinely love the town, but this experience has completely changed our impression of the hotel. Given the price we paid and the reputation we would expect from a Novotel, we feel that the standard fell far below what is acceptable. I wanted to add that we absolutely love Le Touquet, and our family have stayed here many times before. It is a place we know and genuinely enjoy returning to. We would appreciate you taking our complaint seriously and providing an appropriate response and explanation.

While the room was clean, the location of the room for the price we paid was horrible. A sea facing room which actually was only able to see the dune. We’ve stayed at this hotel for 10 years each year now but this year we could really see the decline. The reception staff is rude and inattentive, at this point this hotel is no longer a 4 star but equal to the next door Ibis which I think is better value for money now. Extremely disappointed!

Every aspect was a disappointment....the room was tiny, worn looking, the bed and couch were both so uneven that my daughters also woke up with back pain and housekeeping informed us there were no boards available to harden the mattresses.....the staff was indifferent, the breakfast bar was repulsive, the baked beans in tomato sauce raw as were the supposed stewed tomatoes, the scrambled eggs still had the granules of the mix. The pool that was supposedly heated was ice cold and my daughter that we expressively came to your establishment so that she could swim as she refuses to near our home because of her severe scarification, could not tolerate 10 minutes in the water. As to the cleanliness of the establishment, the entire floor of our room had sand all over upon our entrance when we arrived and made the mistake of unpacking barefoot. I spent a thousand euros on this small vacation to leave disgusted........ and another thing the falsification of "wanting to save the environment " as your company's garbage excuse reason for handing customers your ugly inconvenient water jugs and have them go into the hallway to fill with your horrible tasting water was the final straw.....I am boggled that you remain in business.

I stayed with my family 17th to 20th August 2026. I had room 1266 with my 2 children and I booked room 1332 for my mother. When we arrived we were greeted by a very pleasant young man who checked us in efficiently. The rooms were spacious, nice and clean with lovely views. Room 1266 was however only set up for 2 people. When I queried this with Reception I was told the room is only set up for adults, even though this room was booked for 1 adult and 2 children. If that is the policy it is ridiculous as children still need towels and cups. My children wanted to use the pool so also wanted to use the dressing gowns and slippers. We ended up getting the spare dressing gown and slippers from room 1332. We ordered breakfast to our rooms and requested delivery between 09h00 and 09h30. My mother received hers at 09h46 and ours arrived at 10h45! We received no sugar for the coffee, no milk for the cereal. On breakfast on the second morning was still late but only 5 minutes this time. Again there was no sugar and we did not receive the orange juice that we ordered and my mother didn’t receive the fruit slices. I called reception and was transferred to the restaurant, there was no answer. I called again and still no answer. On both mornings I had ordered hot chocolate for my children, There was one pot for them to share. This was the same amount received by my mother. Should there have been 1 jug per person? If so, that was wrong both mornings too. Our third breakfast arrived on time and I think complete. On our first evening we had a reservation at Maison Mer at 19h00. The food was nice but the service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not full. We were left a long time between courses. No bread or water was offered which I thought was standard in a French Restaurant. On two separate occasions the cleaner knocked on our doors to ask when we were going out so that she could clean. I feel that this is unacceptable. If the notice on the door states the guest is in the room they should be left in peace. The corridors were full of cages of linen and cleaning trolleys, at times quite chaotic. I reported all of the above to reception on both days. I was told the information would be passed to the manager. I booked myself and my mother on the 3R session at 10h00 Thursday morning. Unfortunately my mother was taken ill that morning with a bad stomach. She was unable to attend. It was only me on the session and the therapist was kind and welcoming. When we came to check out I was still charged for my mother. I was told I had to give 48 hour notice for cancellation. I had not booked it more than 48 hours before and a bad stomach can not be predicted. When I checked out the lady on reception made a note of my complaints. She said it was down to the restaurant and the spa and she would notify management. As far as I am concerned, the hotel, restaurant and spa are all connected so the responsibility is joint. At no point did a manager or any member of staff contact me to discuss my complaints. I was not able to wait for a manager to come when I was checking out as I needed to get my mother home. This was a very expensive stay and should have been perfect. We should not have had to complain once, let alone twice. Rooms should have been sufficiently stocked for the arriving guests. My daughter and I have both been battling cancer this year. This should have been a relaxing stay of rest and recuperation for us, my son and my mother. I am so very disappointment and upset. This stay was nowhere near worth the 2800Euros that it has cost me. I felt as though all the hotel is interested in is taking their money and customer satisfaction was of no concern at all. I would never recommend this hotel/restaurant/spa to anyone.

Lovely hotel, with helpful, friendly staff. We couldn't use the hotel restaurant because it gets busy and we didn't book, so I would advise booking in advance.

We have stayed a few times, close from UK, beautiful location on the beach, perfect walking distance. Didn’t use our car once. We all LOVE the breakfast too. Perfect with children. Days on beach, hour in the pool and then a lovely stroll spending the evening in town eating and exploring.

Very kind staff, fantastic location, nice private beach and bar. Great thalasso. The restaurants are good value for money. Bu the rooms (even executive) are small, and cleaning could be enhanced (no cleaning of the terrasse, sand on the floor in the room). Small beds.

Very well located hotel directly at the beach. Room with balcony towards the seafront was amazing. The room towards the parking was small, dark and overprized. We all liked a lot the breakfast buffet as well as the seawater swimming pool. Service in the restaurants could be improved. The hotel worked very well for our situation with one family member being in a wheel chair.

Excellent location with good facilities and a short walk to the town. Beach is right on the doorstep.
