Novotel Surfers Paradise is undergoing an exterior building upgrade, including painting and other improvements. While we undertake façade improvements, our Pool & Spa opening hours are adjusted as follows: *Weekdays - 4PM to 10PM; *Weekends, Queensland school holidays, and public holidays - remain open all day; Minimal noise may occur, but we're committed to keeping it as low as possible. Had an accident in Room 2915 — as I stepped into the bathtub, I slipped and hit my head. I had just warned my 11-year-old to be careful, but he also slipped shortly after and cried. I ended up with bruises on my left thigh and elbow. Another safety concern was the fridge placed right next to the toilet. I informed reception about the incident. We decided to extend our stay but moved to Room 2414. The manager was kind enough to waived the parking fee. Overall, was scared with the accident and could be worse.

Not up to Novotel standards, staff don't take bags to room as they are too busy. Housekeeping don't restock amenities (checked in without shampoo body wash and was told by reception it will take 2 hours to restock unacceptable ), rooms not cleaned properly. Room was not vacuumed for 3 days until I mentioned to reception. If you leave a message at reception expect it to be actioned about 3hours later. Staff always have excuse they are very busy due to peak times. I had multiple staff use this excuse when they couldn't meet our expectations. This is not a reason to underperform. I expect higher from this brand, Novotel is representing Accor brand and this was a very disappointing experience. This hotel is prime for location but that is what you are paying for the location not the other features which you would expect a hotel to deliver.
