We were unable to sleep hardly at all, and were on a long haul flight the next day. There was continual loud dripping and water coming from floor above, down the walls and door frame from a room above. Reception didn’t answer call and when we raised with reception and suggested they get maintenance to avoid a roof collapse, she was very disinterested and borderline rude.

For the working week I was there, for some reason, glasses that I used, was never washed! Were just left by the sink. First time I have experienced this. Is this a new policy? From QIAGEN, been to this property before and other properties.

We really enjoyed the hotel's excellent location in Chinatown, with convenient public transport nearby and plenty of attractions within walking distance. The facilities were well maintained, and the pool was a great place to relax after a busy day exploring the city. The only downsides were the relatively small rooms and the balcony, which surprisingly had just one chair.

Location The hotel is located within walking distance to quite a lot of shops and eateries, with 3 MRT stations within minutes (Telok Ayer, Chinatown, Maxwell). Room The room itself was small, which was expected, but the bathroom could have been portioned to be bigger, the size was barely functional. All the materials felt cheap, and things were already falling apart, even when the hotel has opened for less than 3 years. House keeping was very inconsistent and random, the room felt barely cleaned and they failed to replace tea/coffee, place bath-ropes on top of my luggage for no reason, and even take away towels without replacement. Slippers were taken away again for no reason and forcing us to use a new pair for only a day left. All these were happening on a daily basis and they failed to even had a single day without error. We asked for some cutleries to cut our fruits and were given one-time use wooden ones that barely served our purpose - that alone tells us how little they care about being sustainable. The view was nice but it comes with sounds from the temple nearby, very often starting as early as 5am in the morning, making it hard to sleep. The room was also very prone to sounds from nearby rooms and the hallway. The wifi was hard to use and frequent gets disconnected, there was even a whole day without wifi as front desk confirmed it to be broken. The TV had no netflix option and we were told the system in our room was not updated. Service / Facilities Front desk and concierge felt dire and robotic, and the lobby was constantly filled with people, I have seen multiple times where the lobby was used as tutoring with kids doing their homework and that's just an example of many other things happening there, so it was frequently filled with people who are not staying at the hotel. There was renovation happening to the gym during our stay, so one less facility available to use, and absolutely no mention of such thing before our stay to give us a heads up. We were able to use a shower after checking out, as our flight is not until quite late at night on that day, though we only found that to be a public bathroom and again was not very functional at all. Overall If the price is similar, I would go for other options around, such as Carlton City Hotel.
