Our allocated room had not been cleaned. We had to go back several times to get a clean room with correctly matched key cards.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the condition of the room initially allocated to you and for the repeated inconvenience you experienced in having to return to reception to obtain a clean room and correctly functioning key cards. This is certainly not the standard of service or housekeeping we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly upon arrival. We appreciate your positive comments regarding our location; however, it is clear that the issues during check-in and room allocation significantly impacted your overall experience. Your feedback regarding cleanliness, room readiness, and the efficiency of our arrival process has been shared with both our Housekeeping and Front Office teams for immediate review and improvement. We also value your loyalty as an ALL Accor Classic member and Accor Vacation Club member, and we are very sorry that this stay did not reflect the level of hospitality you rightfully expect from us. The fridge did not work and the smell was not very nice. In the morning an aboriginal man was leaning over the balcony going through the ashtray.

The carpet had a burn and the toilet kept running after it was flushed. Very basic accommodation.

I like staying at the ibis Darwin airport even though there is always something wrong and at least one thing broken and or not working. Usually the doors to the room, this time the fridge was blown up. The carpets we ratchet and there was a mob partying in the hallway

Your comments about the condition of the room, facilities, and disturbances in the hallway are certainly concerning and have been shared with the relevant teams for immediate attention. Regarding parking, we understand your frustration. While on-site parking is available for $20 per night, we do also offer complimentary parking located just across the road from the hotel. This information is outlined on our website and in the welcome letter provided at check-in, though we appreciate that it may not always feel like a convenient alternative. I was also particularly concerned to read your comment about a missing portion of your cash bond. This is a serious matter, and I encourage you to contact us directly so we can investigate this further and address it appropriately. It’s encouraging to hear that you found the hotel consistently clean and that some members of our team made a positive impression. However, we recognise there are several areas where we need to improve, including maintenance, breakfast quality, and overall value for money. Odor, visual sensation, entertainment, all completely neutral. Overwhelming and deep sense of neutrality. If I were to peg my feelings about my stay to a colour, that colour would be grey. Not a bad or depressing grey. But a hollow, bland, and meaningless grey. Not to say that it was a bad experience. It was not. Nor was it good. If I were to compare it to a drink, it would be a glass of water, left out for a day, at room temperature. If I were to compare it to a physical sensation, it would be a nosebleed, but not a painful one, just one that starts without you noticing until later on when you feel the trickle of blood on your upper lip. Like, just a slight sensation that reminds you that you are still alive.
