As a 4 star hotel In Europe, checking in at 16:00 is indeed slightly later than the average standard (usually 14:00-15:00), while checking out at 11:00 is one of the earlier options. Combined in this way, guests have about 1-2 hours less available room time compared to regular hotels, especially if it is a vacation or four-star hotel, traveling with children, a bit rushed & uncomfortable. So I'll give 7

So easy to find and as we were sent an email with instructions on how to get into the car park we were sorted in minutes. The staff at check in were friendly and helpful and made a fuss of our two excited dogs. The room was great , nice touches, boot bench, wool blanket throws and a big wall mounted TV. The smell in the room instantly puts your mind into mountain mode. The small balcony was perfect for sitting in the sun in the provided deck chair and safe for the dogs to watch what was going on outside ! We took the offer of half-board, plenty of good quality items hot and cold for breakfast, you could never go hungry, lots of choices for tea and coffee, even at busy times there is space to move and get at seat as the staff are very good at what they do. Evening meal is good again lots of choices and a great wine list. We had the fresh trout on night and hands down it was the best we had had for years. We didn’t use the spa as we walked around the park, village and lake, we always made it back for sundowners on the terrace.
