Loved everything however the air con was annoying….wouldn’t turn off. When I rang the first evening I got told someone would switch it off….no one did, I rang again and got told I had to leave the door open. 2 nights I left the door open & noise disturbance so couldn’t get to sleep! Highly disappointed with that!

There were a few peculiar policies such as we couldn't bring a bottle of water to the rooftop pool because their policy states that there are no outside drinks. I can understand no outside alcohol but it was literally a bottle of water we bought at a store across the road. Also, we were told there are no robes but half of guest at the pool had robes. We were also told we couldn't bring drinks from the bar to our room. Other than that, very nice hotel, lovely rooms, and the staff were very nice and helpful.

Pros - continental breakfast basics and fresh fruit platter - Nice staff - New, spacious rooms with a view of the Sliema (and Valetta) if you are lucky - Rooftop pool - Spa area in the cellar - gym with a view (I didn’t train so I can’t say anything about the equipment) - baggage room with (really big!) lockers so you can store your things safely when you arrive early/leave late Cons - I travelled with my dad and we wanted a room with two beds and got an arrangement that had both of the beds together like one and they couldn’t be moved. - Breakfast has only very little local specials, no butter and really low quality, stale bread (Maltese bread is actually delicious but they don’t have it), cheap cake/sweets - it is not allowed to bring your own water (!) to the pool, as there is a bar with food and snacks. - room service forgot to replace our dirty towels so we ended up with only 2/5 for two days as we asked for them but only got them the second time around - water in the rooms is basically chlorinated tap water in a glass pitcher. It is said to be like this to save resources (no plastic bottles) which I love but it is not an adequate replacement of it tastes like this.

Room was very spacious and quiet at night. Air conditioning good. Fresh water supplied every day. Shower was excellent. The only mirror in the room was in the bathroom - it needs a mirror in the main area. The pool should be open later than 6pm. Very little variety of fresh fruit at breakfast.

The hotel rooms were air conditioned but not the hallways or lifts. Also, the swimming pool didn’t have enough sun beds for the amount of people who wanted to use the pool.

Hotel is located in the heart of Silema and was near to all shopping facilities required. We were greeted by the reception staff who were very friendly. Room was nice and clean but missed a few touches like the welcome greeting on the TV, not ties with the bathrobes so these could not be used for the duration of our stay. One of the nights, there was no hot or cold water and was unable to take a shower for over an hour. I called down to reception, was cut off 3 times before being told that I would have water in 20min. No other explanation or offer of apology. The breakfast was cold every morning no matter what time I came down and had to ask for this to be heated up every morning. There were no basic condiments on the table and these had to be asked for. The pool bar was a lovely area to sit and relax with friends whilst enjoying the drinks offered. We then became harassed by some of the staff up there regarding using our own cups to put their drinks in and the level of the music being played. This could and should have been handled better. Lovely service to Emmanuel who gave exceptional service on all of his shifts regardless of how busy it was. Service for the evening dinner was incredible slow even though you have a set menu and on the first night I nearly fell asleep waiting for my food.

The entrance is stunning however the rooms are very basic felt more like a travel lodge than a 4 star hotel. No toiletries in the room. The best thing about this hotel is the gym (stunning views and good equipment). I had dinner in the roof top twice, both times were very poor service.

I liked everything the room was cleaned and the location was perfect, not noisy at night also, the only problem was the air conditioner which you can't change the temperature basically, so it was so cold, overall good hotel and friendly staff. Will go back again.

Even though I alerted the hotel that I would be arriving early on numerous occasions, on arrival I was informed that checkin eas at 2pm. No issue with that but in coming back to check in my room was still not available and staff at reception could not give me a clear reason of why room was not ready. Half an hour later was finally informed room was ready. On entering our room the bathroom had a distinctly horrible smell, like it had ben cleaned with dirty water. Also breakfast offerings was sometimes not up to scratch.

Rooms were cleaned late, sometimes after 5 pm. The pool service was more commercial than user friendly and hotel guests seemed to be not to be a priority.

This hotel is in a very good location, modern and fresh with great facilities. It is near a busy bus stop and lots of eateries and convenience stores close by. The bed was very comfortable with a top class bathroom!
