The room was beautiful and spacious and very pleasing on the eye. More than enough facilities for a long stay. However, the shower went hot and cold quite often, the room was too hot in March as the air con does nothing. For a spa hotel it would be nice to at least be provided slippers as everyone was wearing outdoor shoes inside the pool area. Staff did not seem like they wanted to work, leaving the spa at 18:54 when it closes at 19:00 is unacceptable and the most unrelaxing experience. You are ushered out of the facilities at 18:45 just so staff can leave early, the hot tub was freezing cold, the ice bath was warmer than the hot tub. The showers in the spa do not work. I could make a very long list of facilities that did not work! But the worst part of the entire experience is the rationing of water!!! My partner was 30 weeks pregnant and you still didn't let us bring water to the pool on the roof, trying to charge guests for water from your bar is appalling! Especially when in our room we were encouraged to use re-usable bottles just so novotel can go plastic free. A water cooler at reception and the gym would make a huge difference, when requesting more water from reception I was made to go to the restaurant, they seemed confused at a simple request to refill their water container.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Sliema and St. Julian’s. The rooms are peaceful and well-suited for rest. The spa is pleasant, with the saunas being a highlight. Breakfast offers a great selection, although it can get crowded in the morning and the food area could be slightly expanded. We would choose this hotel again.
