The staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is excellent and there is a wide selection. Well located and modern hotel. Negative: pools are not heated in indoor wellness, steam cabin did not work. The the carpets in the hallways are dirty.

From start to finish we experienced first class service and hospitality. Used Accor points (as a Gold member) towards a 3 night stay. Email room request was kindly dealt with, check in very smooth (thank you Ivana) and allocated a very spacious and well presented Exec Room on 11th floor. Really impressed with the balcony areas and the location just off the main harbour front was quiet. The area is typical Maltese, full of charm and think we identified that a small hotel (now closed) in the same road near to the front, which was the one we stayed in over 43 years ago on our honeymoon. Everyone connected to the hotel provided super service with a smile. James in the bar on our first evening set the scene perfectly. Breakfast each morning was ideal with a well thought out and spacious layout of tables & buffet area. Quality food as well. The rooftop pool & bar was really impressive, although this time of year the wind brought a slight chill, but wonderful when the sun was out! Very good location with bars and restaurants aplenty and the bus stop at the top of the road enabled us to get to Valletta (and back) where they celebrate Christmas in full, such a friendly atmosphere. On the last day Nalia (many thanks) arranged a late checkout with my Accor association and really demonstrated the values of Accor & Novotel. And finally, a warm farewell at check out from Sina. As per the title of this review, 100% ideal for us. Thank you and we aim to return same time next year (or maybe before!)

As we saw, most hotels in Malta are managed from ST properties. And this hotel shouldn't be under the Novotel brand. Is has been working for just a few months now but everything is already very dirty. When you leave the label for changing the sheets, they change them, but without the pillows and without the childrens bed :D There is a curtaint in the bathroom, that used to be white, now is yellow. Also, a lot of long black hair was seen around the bathroom, but we are all blond. I think they just never cleaned it properly. The indoor pool is so dirty, that there is dirt that you can see on the floor, I would be happy to send the picture to someone. When I checked in, the lady Emma was busy chatting with the manager and I waited 15 minutes, with only 1 group of people before me, because only a lady with an ST uniform was serving customers. The sauna door will be broken soon, because it is not well fixed and crashes every time you open it. The steam room is not working at all. There is a spa, but there is not a single hanger in the bathroom, where you can dry your bathing suit or towel. When you take a shower, you need an assistant to bring you the towel afterwards, as there is nowhere to hang it. Taking a shower is a really energizing experience, as water changes from normal to cold and then boiling every minute. They came to check that problem and just answered, that obviously it will stay that way. Everybody is very friendly, but they are not well trained, probably because of the ST "management".

Bad. No a/c. Shower will split water all over the bathroom. Went to reception twice, no help. Not coming back.
