Dear Mr P., Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback, and especially for returning to SO/ Sotogrande so many times. We are genuinely sorry that this particular stay did not provide the relaxing experience you have enjoyed on your previous visits. Regarding the pool situation, I would like to clarify that this was during a seasonal change in our pool offering, when the Family Pool was temporarily closed. During this period, children were able to use the Infinity Pool, which may have resulted in a different atmosphere from what you had experienced on previous stays. I am particularly sorry about the behaviour of the group you encountered around the pool. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been when you were looking to relax. Please be assured that our team did intervene and the group were spoken to on several occasions regarding their behaviour. In fact, we were able to verify that they left the pool area. Nevertheless, I am sorry that this did not prevent the disturbance from affecting your experience. I am also sorry to hear that you were disturbed during the night by other guests. We understand how important a peaceful night's sleep is, particularly when the purpose of your stay was simply to relax and unwind. Finally, thank you for mentioning your Accor Voyager status. I am sorry that you have never been offered an upgrade during your previous stays. Upgrades are always subject to availability at the time of arrival, but we certainly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will do our best to provide a nice upgrade during your next visit to our resort. It is a real shame to hear that this visit has left you feeling more reluctant to return, especially given your loyalty to SO/ Sotogrande. We had stayed here previously and already knew how good the hotel was, but this visit was even better. Our first stay had been slightly out of season, so it was great to experience the hotel with more of the facilities and dining options open. We managed to eat at Marx this time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was superb and the service excellent. In fact, the staff throughout the hotel were exceptional. The front desk team were particularly helpful, assisting us with golf bookings and arranging a late checkout. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the level of service was excellent. The check-in process is perhaps a little more elaborate than we personally need – after travelling, we tend to prefer simply getting checked in and into the room – although this is very much a personal preference rather than a criticism of the service. The one issue we noticed on both visits relates to the terrace outside the room. The lawned area seems to collect a lot of water run-off and becomes very muddy and dirty, which inevitably gets walked back into the room. It feels like an area that could really benefit from decking, paving or a similar solution. Aside from that, another excellent stay. Fantastic staff, great food and a hotel we would happily return to again.

Check in was excellent, the lady whose name I cannot remember was super efficient and really helpful. She remembered my name when I saw her several days later which was a really nice touch. She also helped me locate my lost apple airpods so I would like to pass on my thanks to her for that. The buggy drivers were amazing, the concierge was too. We loved that several people recognised us from our stay last year. The hotel staff are mostly excellent, the housekeeping services are excellent too. I feel the atmosphere at the pools could be improved by some music. This is the one area that I feel lets the hotel down a little. Our waitress at breakfast was also amazing, nothing too much trouble for her, we knew her as Katy but I think her full name was Katarina. The gentleman that works in there was also excellent although again I have forgotten his name, so name badges would really benefit the staff. A word of caution for the garden area outside the restaurants... the cats jump on the tables as soon as a guest leaves and they start eating any sweets left out before the waiters can clear them, so make sure they are never redistributed! The sweets are delicious to be fair but this really put us off eating them! (covered almonds) Overall we loved our stay and we will definitely return

Had a lovely stay. In room dining was awful though, you can’t serve room service in a paper bag like McDonald’s. It needs to be on a tray with plates, cutlery etc , especially considering the price of the room per night. Staff very helpful apart from a lifeguard who wouldn’t help me down some stairs with the pram (I had 3 small kids with me in total) . Spa amazing, concierge great and the staff in the main restaurant are all lovely and so helpful! We’ll be back next year but please kindly sort out room service!

We love the hotel and facility. So the hard product is fantastic. There is room for improvement on the speed of response at the front desk, the WhatsApp-Team. And we were not fully happy with the cleanliness of the room. Kudos to Gloria from the kids club (our daughter loves her) and Concierge Ivan, who was always quick and super helpful.

Good service, freindly staff, good food, rooms could use improvement - e.g. sink too far away from guest in bathroom, dangerous bathtub location near shower, lighting bad atr the desk area if you want to work for a few hours a day.

Had a really lovely stay. The grounds and the facilities were really good. The only downfall was the food. Didn’t love the pool or room service menu. Everything else was great.

Kids club staff great, however the club & facilities not 5 star. Food good, however service mixed - often very slow & many times forgot our order

We are sorry that certain aspects of your stay did not fully meet your expectations, particularly the Kids Club facilities and some service delays during your meals. We also understand how arriving with young children can make the start of a holiday especially important. While our all-inclusive programme begins at the official check-in time of 3:00 pm, guests arriving earlier are welcome to enjoy the resort and its restaurants, with food and beverage consumption prior to check-in charged separately.
