Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc 5 stars

From check in to departure- all staff very professional! Utilized restaurant services every day- all meals and drinks were prepared deliciously, was great to see Tan again! Booked the Wood Aroma Theraphy spa package and once again great, professional and rejuvenating as our first visit a year ago. Chocolate hour utilized most days- as diverse with cut fruit and various snack desserts as a year ago, thank you for this special extra treat! Jacy was once used to book day excursions (Hon Thom island and snorkeling expedition), was as he said and the weather was certainly in our favour! Thank you! One suggestion is to give the kids playroom a facelift. Wooden puzzle piece sets were new from a year ago, but the bean bags and soft toys same as last year, with many that looks tired. Bouncy balls last year was a highlight, missing this year. Diversity of toys lacking this year, definitely poorer condition than a year ago. Room service, as neat and clean and special as last year! Thank you! Overall very happy and once again satisfied being served by a great Movenpick community, thank you very much!

My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful seven night stay at Mövenpick Resort Phu Quoc, and it was truly a memorable and relaxing holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the exceptional level of hospitality. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely friendly, professional, and eager to assist. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their warm and welcoming nature made us feel valued throughout our stay. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the Priority Check In area where the process was seamless, efficient, and stress free. We were also delighted to receive an upgrade to a suite, which was a fantastic start to our holiday. The suite exceeded our expectations in every way. It was incredibly spacious and featured floor to ceiling glass sliding doors showcasing magnificent ocean, resort & area views. The suite included a separate lounge room, an enormous bedroom with a very comfortable kingsize bed, a spacious bathroom, and a very long balcony with comfortable seating where you could enjoy the breathtaking scenery. We had access to the lounge during our stay which is not a dedicated lounge as such but was located at Altitude 8 Sky Bistro. The restaurant is exceptionally large with a variety of comfortable seating options, along with a lengthy balcony offering beautiful water views. The lounge at the restaurant was accessible daily only during breakfast from 6.30am -10.30am and evening cocktails and canapés from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Breakfast in the lounge was excellent, featuring a wonderful selection of beautifully presented and tempting options in a relaxed environment. The evening cocktail service was enjoyable, although the canapés were served directly to tables rather than being self service. There was only one featured canapé selection each evening, which could be limiting if the particular offering wasn't to your taste. Despite this minor observation, the overall lounge experience was outstanding thanks to the exceptional staff, and we would especially like to acknowledge Alice, Hoa, Dat, Ly, and the many other lounge team members whose names we unfortunately cannot recall. They were absolutely amazing and consistently remembered our preferred beverages and dining preferences. This personal touch elevated the experience and made us feel genuinely welcomed each day. The resort facilities were equally impressive. The large infinity pool was stunning, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available and incredible views overlooking the crystal clear blue waters of the beach. We enjoyed swimming in the ocean daily, and the water was exceptionally clean and inviting. The gym was another standout feature. It was modern, spacious, impeccably maintained, and equipped with quality equipment that we used every day during our stay. Dining throughout the resort was excellent. There were several restaurant options available, and every meal we enjoyed was of a very high standard. We particularly enjoyed our daily lunches and drinks at Aqua Restaurant and Pool Bar, which offered comfortable seating, a relaxed atmosphere, and wonderful views of both the pool and ocean. For dinner, The Islander Restaurant quickly became a favourite. We would like to acknowledge Huyen, Kiet, and the many other team members who provided outstanding service and contributed to many enjoyable evenings. The housekeeping team also deserves special recognition. The ladies who serviced our room always ensured it was immaculate and were consistently friendly whenever we encountered them around the resort. We would particularly like to thank Tien, My, and all the other housekeeping staff that we are unfortunately unsure of their names. We would also like to acknowledge the exceptional Priority Check In team, including Kai, Lily, Tien, Jun, Janie, Ngu, and Wyn (hopefully we haven't missed anyone). Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist at every opportunity exemplified the outstanding service culture present throughout the resort. One point worth mentioning is that there is very little within walking distance of the resort itself. However, the hotel provides convenient transfers to Grand World and into town. We personally found Grand World to be quite tourist oriented and expensive, while the night market in town was fairly underwhelming on the day we visited and not particularly worth the journey. That said, this was not a negative for us, as our goal was to enjoy a quiet and relaxing holiday within the resort, and it delivered exactly that. Finally, we would like to recognise General Manager Claudio. It was wonderful to see him regularly throughout the resort, always taking the time to greet guests and stop for a friendly chat. The exceptional team, service culture, and outstanding facilities are a credit to his leadership. Overall, our stay at Mövenpick Resort Phu Quoc exceeded all expectations. The combination of luxurious accommodation, beautiful facilities, excellent dining, breathtaking views, and most importantly, the genuinely caring staff created a truly memorable experience. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. We will most definitely be returning and look forward to experiencing this wonderful resort again in the future.

At first, we wasn’t well informed by the app that we need to top up for 13 years old. The front desk insisted that they wanted to charge us for one bed at $65. The 13 years old would have his room the second night onwards. So we obliged and book another room. During booking it is also unclear that waverly and residences are at different building , we are again being asked to top up . We obliged again and we did top up. Until now we already felt the whole process is like booking into army camp with all rules and regulations no humane treatment at all. We requested for complimentary breakfast due to the unhappy experience . We were declined Up until now we felt like we are cash cow and money making machine . The hotel staff just want to earn more revenue from us instead of giving us customer satisfaction Things only get better when I forwarded email to guest experience officer and GM We got complimentary breakfast for one child but it was for a morning we meant to head out. We felt we are the beck n call from the hotel not guest but maybe some sort of jail experience tour. During my Bintan Movenpick , my boys and I had very good experience w services, they remembered our name, we were applogiesed for delayed respond for pillow menu. They treated us some goodies. It is not alot but we felt the sincerity I persuaded my frens to move from Hilton to Movenpick due to my wonderful experience As it turns out it is a wrong recommendation. It was father day celebration and I have beg for at least 4 times email to n fro to get each daddies a small cake. I was even asked to buy cake. I was being asked to top on breakfasts, I was being asked to pay premium for booking alternation. But I failed to detect it was red flags that this is a money making hotel n making customer experience lousy. I thought software is bad, but hardware is just as bad, no pillow menu, spoiled coffee machine , and spoiled entrance light , midnight no response on housekeeping hotline. All I get is apologetic email which I felt it is to show upper management instead of customer experience I will not stay at this chain anymore
