The valet, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were very polite and respectful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the hotel management and front desk. My husband, who is a foreign national and not Tunisian, booked a suite from the day he arrived from the airport on August 13 until August 21, so that he could stay there both before and after our wedding. On August 14, two days before our wedding, I came to the hotel simply to arrange the engagement gifts that my husband was going to present to me. I explained the situation clearly, showed them our wedding invitation confirming that our wedding was taking place on August 16, and I even had the jewelry and gifts with me. Despite all of this, they refused to let me enter the suite because we could not provide a marriage certificate. I explained to them: “How am I supposed to provide a marriage certificate when our wedding is taking place in two days?” Even after the wedding, it would not have been possible to obtain the official certificate immediately, as there are legal and administrative procedures that must be completed before it can be issued. Since they refused to let me enter the suite alone, I even offered to have a member of staff accompany me to the room while I arranged the gifts. This was also refused. What made the situation even worse was the attitude of the night manager, who was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. I asked what would happen after the wedding and whether I would then be allowed to stay with my husband. I was told that without the official marriage certificate, I still would not be allowed to stay and one of the responses I received was that I should “come in my wedding dress.” This made absolutely no sense. Our wedding was being held at the Four Seasons, and the Four Seasons provided us with a suite for our wedding night. The following day, August 17, we were supposed to leave the Four Seasons and return to the suite my husband had already booked at the Mövenpick until August 21. So was I seriously expected to keep or rent my wedding dress for an additional day and arrive at the Mövenpick wearing it the day after my wedding just to prove that we had gotten married and be allowed to stay with my husband? When we expressed our frustration about the way the situation was being handled, the night manager's response was essentially: “If you want to cancel your reservation, cancel it.” Because of his attitude and the way we were treated, we actually requested to cancel the booking. The following day, the daytime manager spoke to my husband and apologized for what had happened, which we appreciated. After our wedding at the Four Seasons, I returned to the Mövenpick as my husband’s wife. However, the overall atmosphere still made me feel uncomfortable and constantly watched, as though I were doing something wrong simply by staying at the hotel with my husband. It is unfortunate because many members of staff were genuinely wonderful, especially the valet, housekeeping, and restaurant staff. However, the way this situation was handled by the front desk and management seriously affected our experience during what should have been one of the happiest and most memorable occasions of our lives. Based on my personal experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel, particularly because of the way we were treated and how poorly this situation was handled by management.

Your cleaning lady was a MAJOR NUISANCE!!! When I had my donot disturb sign on, she would constantly call! After bringing this to your front desk staff's attention and being reassured it would not happen again, she continued to call and disrupt my peace. SHE NEEDS TO BE REPRIMANDED FOR NON-COMPLIANCE!!!

My stay was excellent and truly enjoyable. The hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are excellent, and the overall service is of A. very high standard. I especially appreciated the warm and professional service from the reception team, particularly Madam; We-am and her team, as well as the security team at the entrance. I would also like to thank Mr. Walid from the taxi service for his excellent assistance and professionalism. The outstanding hospitality and friendly treatment made me feel very welcome and have definitely encouraged me to choose this hotel as my preferred place to stay whenever I visit Tunis again. Highly recommended!

I had laundry returned over 24 hours late , not folded as requested and to top it all they have lost at least 1 t shirt, it could be more but a copy of the paperwork was not returned to me.

Descent, but room was not peopperly cleaned at arrival

Great service from Reception desk, room service, housekeeping and all of the staff. Very accommodating, and really helpful staff. The food was so fresh and the menus are great!I especially liked the spacious rooms, restaurant areas and corridors, the gym and spa facilities really good. All of the staff helped to make this a wonderful trip!

There was no enough water and beverages like tea, coffee in the room. I needed to ask daily.

Good but not a five stars level. No water or other drink in the fridge. Only one pair of slipper (we were two) and only one cup for the tea. Spots in one of the armchair.

I enjoyed my overall stay especially as it was a bit last minute and I was going through a painful experience. There was good communication ahead of the trip while I was on my way there. From the moment we pulled up I felt like I was warmly greeted and the staff was especially waiting for my arrival. The check in process was smooth, friendly, and the everybody including the director was amazing and genuinely kind. I felt safe, accommodated for my time of arrival, and secured in the hotel and my dog felt very welcomed and enjoyed the environment. The air conditioner in the room worked well and the common spaces inside were really well ventilated despite the humidity that started outside. The view on the terrace was beautiful and spacious and the musical ambience was great. It was relaxing. I enjoyed the « do not disturb » and «room clean up » buttons - so much better than the paper door handlers. We slept well each night and felt safe in our room and didn’t really hear too much noise either from outside the room. Super peaceful! It was super clean no traces of dust even on the balcony. My nose did not tingle once and my dog was happy on the floor and carpeted areas. I enjoyed the bathroom - unfortunately didn’t stay long enough to use the bathtub but enjoyed the shower set up with the tile seating and separate seating area. The bathroom overall felt spacious and luxurious including the glass panel separating it from the bedroom. The bathrobe was cozy, too! We enjoyed the balcony before it got super hot nin the day and appreciated the views of the lake. Few minor (not a big deal) observations: I think I was supposed to have an nespresso coffee maker in the room and I didn’t; but I didn’t call about that as it wasn’t that great of a deal since I found Nescafé packs I used with the kettle. And the premium lake view - I am not very sure if I had a premium lake view as it was quite a distance away and couldn’t be seen from my seats on the balcony or the window of my room, but not very sure if maybe that was considered the premium lake view. Either way I enjoyed my stay and my dog and I were super comfortable and safe and slept really well. Would we come back in the near future?? Absolutely yes! It was very much worth the stay and again thank you to everyone who made our stay so wonderful and comfortable.
