I booked a king bed, was given twin. Was changed room for an upgrade that was a downgrade as it stank of smoke, was on a noisy road above your delivery area and the room was dirty - big crumbs on an old dirty rug, cigarette ash on the floor by the bed. Made even worse by the fact that on check out I was promised that management would get in touch with me but 2 weeks later and still nothing. If this is how you treat Accor Gold clients then I dread to think how you treat anyone else. Awful.

Overall the stay in the hotel was fine but at check-out I was informed that I have used the minibar, which I never did - this was rectified at the reception and charged was removed. Moreover due to some POS problem I was charged twice for my hotel room. Although this might happen as a consequence how the problem is managed is a complete disaster. I have provided your staff at reception screenshots from SMS from my bank and bank statement as well but unfortunately I haven't got any feedback since January 30th.

The Hotel ist new and breakfast ist good but really bad Service and they don’t speak French or Englisch . It is difficult for someone who don’t speak / Understand Arabic / Tunisian dialect :(

Please consider my below comments as a sincere feedback to improve your services: 1. I would like to start with good points: the hotel is overall very nice, clean and at 5-star standards. the location was close to my work place and very convenient. 2. Waitress named Sabrine (I am not sure about the spelling) was very helpful throughout our stay and she made us to feel at home. Now, here are the areas for improvement: 1. The feedback page on your website does not work. I wrote to you twice on the website and it was never processed successfully. Please ask your IT staff to check. 2. I visited your hotel with my wife and 6-year old son. When my son wanted to use the indoor pool, he was not allowed. We had to go through several negotiations and as a result he was allowed to use the pool between 10-12 everyday. This restriction was never shared with us at the time of reservation and check-in. No proper justification was provided to us, either. If this is about a child making noise in the pool and disturbing others, please not that there was a football team staying in the hotel and they were making much more noise than my son! If you have such restrictions, please share them in advance on your website, reservation notification, etc. so that we can make an informed decision. 3. Management of the hotel was not cooperative at all. When we approach them about our problems, all they could tell us is that there are rules in the hotel. And each time we approach, they tell us to wait for one minute and after a long waiting time, we just give up and go to our room. Overall, during my long stay, I felt like we were not welcomed in the hotel and I regret my decision to stay at Movenpick du lac. I will never ever stay there again if I come to Tunis again. I really hope that you take my comments seriously and use them to improve the experience of other guests. Best regards.

it took me 7 phone calls, conversations with reception, getting out of my room and just "looking for someone", to have a warm room after two days freezing days including a heater that had a wheel missing and was almost horizontal when it was put in my room. Who would do such a thing? Girls on reception are mostly there to find husbands, not beacuse they like customer service. Guest service never answers the phone. Nobody smiles. Reception answers and doesnt do anything. First room had no door to the freezing bathroom. Unbelievably crazy "automatic" ligthing system means I had zero control over what light comes on when. Some secret switch controls plugs to I had to call room service because kettle and hair dryer did not work as "secret switch" had not been turned on. No more "rosti" in a swiss hotel? But yes fried potatoes are available, indicating its all frozen food anyway. Fauza the cleaner and the technician on duty on night 2 were the only efficint and pleasant people there, so fiver starst to them. Ah and no help getting a taxi to translate directons. Tunisia needs tourists badly, but this is not going to happen like that.
