I booked the room on the spot as a walk-in and checked in after midnight. I was given room 07 on the mezzanine level. The room was fine overall, but there was a slight noise coming from a fan or an kitchen hood that made it difficult to sleep. I ended up playing some music on my laptop to mask the sound. The service is always good and the staff are consistently professional — even the small stool at reception is always in the same place. However, I think it’s time to replace the hallway carpet and that stool. Other than that, I really appreciate the staff and the location, which always make the stay enjoyable. The only improvement I would suggest is speeding up the check-in process — when you arrive after midnight, you just want to get your key quickly.

There was no plug area around the bed neither slips at the room.

I was fortunate to book a room for two nights early this month, when so many top hotels in the area, including Avenue Bourguiba, were full of delegates attending the Junior Chamber International (JCI) World Congress in the Tunisian capital. Having friends who frequented the Congress's main venue, another hotel just a stone's throw away, I was fortunate to be able to pop in and out whenever I pleased several times throughout the day. Despite my frequent comings and goings, the staff, from the cleaning staff to security, were always cheerful and welcoming, and this made me feel very much at home. In particular, I would like to mention the two fellows at security (whose names I have forgotten) and a lovely young woman at reception, Safa Ben Zafri, who was very helpful in making me another key when I had lost mine. I am booked again this weekend, so I am looking forward to staying at my home away from home, in Tunis.
