I book 12 months in advance every year at check-in for the following Christmas day. When I showed reception my confirmation of the room I normally book, staff asked me if I had spoken to Rachael. I had no idea who Rachael was and no never heard of her before. At first I was informed that "sorry but you don't have a room booked". I was totally guttered knowing that my Daughter and grandsons were on their way to see me and thinking I would have to suddenly try to find somewhere alternatively to meet them. Another staff member asked me again my name and confirmed that yes I do have a different room 605. Great I thought. When I was in the room quickly trying to prepare Christmas dinner before my visitors arrived, there was no cutting board in the kitchen cupboards but in 2 cupboards I found box rubbish left from previous guests. Also when trying to book next years stay in advance for 2026 for the same room 605 I was contacted in the room by staff telling me that they have put my request in the system but cannot give me confirmation or price at this time. I have not had this happen in 7 years of staying at The Watson before and I still don't have any confirmation of my booking or price. So NO I'm not happy and unless this changes I will update my Google review to poor and look elsewhere for future years. I have over 25,000 hits on my reviews and considered by Google as in the top 10 reviewers. Please confirm my booking for 2026 asap and hopefully we can move on from this without any further disappointments. Terry S.. 04…

Enjoyed the stay. Located close to bus stop and was easy to get to the city. There was no laundry facility and that was my only minor issue during the stay.
