Expensive 2 nigh business stay

Located 100 meters from the terminal this is a perfect location for a one night stay. As it is the only one within the airport's perimeter it is very expensive for what you get. What you get is the usual Ibis, simple, economic, no-fuss Style. I stayed here 2 nights for work, although had to be 3 (200E) bus stops away, but there was no hotel in that neighbourhood. Unfortunately it was the F1 weekend making the hotel even more expensive. The room doesn't have windows you can open so you need to use the air-conditioning, specially as it was 35 degrees outside. That airco is very noisy and not up to standards. The bed is good, bathroom just big enough for one person. Strange was that in room 407 the showerhead could not be adjusted in height on the rail. Check-in staff was very friendly. Bar-area didn't have any atmosphere. Breakfast was mediocre.

The hotel was very close to airport and very easy to find Check in easy done on internet before journey. Hotel spotless. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Fruit was dried up bananas were black ! asked for croissant they didn’t have any.

I couldn't find any sign for how to get to the hotel from BUD T2. It was nearly 1:00 am, there were no shuttle buses and no taxis and a lot of construction work. In the dark I couldn't see any way to get there on foot. Then I was given the wrong information by an airport worker and wound up on a bus into Budapest. It cost me a €40 taxi ride to get back to the airport hotel more than an hour later in the middle of the night. When I mentioned this to the receptionist the next day and asked her if there was any sign pointing to the hotel, she said she didn't see how I "managed to miss it", as if it were my own fault the sign was not readily visible. The room was OK, nothing special, breakfast likewise. I booked it because it was convenient but it turned out to be anything but.
