I liked everything at this hotel. The check-in process was fast and smooth, the personnel very friendly, the room very clean, nice decorated with a window you could open, the AC was working perfectly and silent on a hot summer day, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom small, but sufficient. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of local food and the bar had a good offer of drinks. The personnel at breakfast and at the bar at night were also great. And finally a plus was as well the proximity to the city center - just 10 walking minutes away.

Everything was all right, except some misunderstanding with the hotel's staff. I had a half board reservation. On check-in I was told that I will be given a special half board menu and the restaurant's menu which charges extra. At the restaurant I repeated several times that I had a half board, but it looked that the young lady didn't understand it. She gave me the restaurant's menu, I thought that it was all right. I asked her if I could order from that menu, because I had a half board dinner. She assured me that yes, of course. After the dinner I received a call that I had to pay extra. So, why hotels offer half board if the staff at the restaurants doesn't know what that means? Thank you!

I completely understand how frustrating this situation must have been, especially after repeatedly confirming your half board reservation with our colleague. Allow me to kindly clarify how our half board works at Restaurant Winestone, as it seems this was not communicated as clearly as it should have been: Short half board menu — guests with a half board reservation may choose from three set options (each including a main course and a dessert). When selected from this menu, dinner is fully covered and there is no additional charge. À la carte menu — guests are of course welcome to order from the full restaurant menu, however in this case the value of the half board is deducted from the bill, and the difference between the half board allowance and the price of the chosen dishes is settled separately. In your case, both our reception team and the waitress should have explained this distinction more clearly before you placed your order. I will personally use your feedback as a training point with both the reception and restaurant teams so that future guests receive a clear explanation upfront and can make an informed choice. Aside from this misunderstanding, I am glad to read that your overall stay was comfortable.
