I completely understand how frustrating this situation must have been, especially after repeatedly confirming your half board reservation with our colleague. Allow me to kindly clarify how our half board works at Restaurant Winestone, as it seems this was not communicated as clearly as it should have been: Short half board menu — guests with a half board reservation may choose from three set options (each including a main course and a dessert). When selected from this menu, dinner is fully covered and there is no additional charge. À la carte menu — guests are of course welcome to order from the full restaurant menu, however in this case the value of the half board is deducted from the bill, and the difference between the half board allowance and the price of the chosen dishes is settled separately. In your case, both our reception team and the waitress should have explained this distinction more clearly before you placed your order. I will personally use your feedback as a training point with both the reception and restaurant teams so that future guests receive a clear explanation upfront and can make an informed choice. Aside from this misunderstanding, I am glad to read that your overall stay was comfortable.
