Staff very friendly and helpful, was a fantastic stay, only downside was the breakfast room, was cramped, but I suspect this will be temporary. I will definitely recommend this hotel, thumbs up.

Beautifully re-decorated renovation, pleasant and efficient front of house, but disappointing room with old bathroom, building and construction noise from 7am, strong smell of solvent/chemicals and dismissive Management until refund finally offered

We love staying at the Sofitel in Noosa and have been doing so for many years now. This time around though, there were a number of issues which unfortunately impacted enjoyment of our stay. Those issues were as follows: - The toilet wasn't functioning at all for the first day of our stay which meant we had to use another facility on another floor for that day. - As the old Noosa Beach House was undergoing renovation and the riverside restaurant was only open for dinner, there was no lunchtime options (other than the poolside bar). This was very disappointing as we normally would have enjoyed the wider variety offered on the Restaurant menu. There was also nowhere to sit in the hotel when it was raining (which it did on the first two days of our trip) to enjoy the food ordered from the poolside bar. Although we knew the hotel was undergoing renovation, no one mentioned at the time of booking that the hotel's main restaurant would be completely unavailable. - The Buffet Breakfast (which was moved to the much smaller riverside restaurant) felt very makeshift and with limited options (that is, it did not feel like the full buffet breakfast typically offered at the old Noosa Beach House). Again, the temporary nature of the buffet breakfast was not mentioned at the time of booking. - There was no iron or ironing board in the room, which I believe have been removed as part of the recent renovations. I understand that they are now only available on request which meant we had to wait quite sometime before these were delivered to us which delayed us getting ready for an evening out. I suggest that you re-introduce these to the rooms, they are essential for travellers. On a positive note, we felt the staff assisting poolside were fantastic. My husband also attended the tax conference which was held during some of our stay and he had a very positive experience with the staff that he met during that conference.
