I had previously stayed in the Peppers Resort in a Airbnb 2br unit. This time I returned with international guests and booked through the resort itself. I stayed in the Pacific block while my guests stayed in the Sands block. Both rooms were not cleaned to an acceptable standard prior to check in. There were dust and grime in most corners of the benches, shower and floors. The rubbish bin was dirty and rusty. there was even a cotton bud left on the floor of the bathroom. Yuk. Both rooms were terribly musty, there was several plug in aroma diffusers, but the mustiness was the dominant smell. Our room was not serviced for a four night stay. The location is wonderful, but the lack of attention to cleanliness does effect the mood of the stay. Also at check-in, my digital credit card was not accepted to pay the security bond, as they would only accept a physical credit card, which I did not have. I thought in this digital era, there would be a means to accept a digital credit card.

Rooms need upgrading; safe not working and hot water needed long run of waste cold water. Sink plug not effective. Annoying small issues that affect view of room.

As always we had a very relaxing time and wished we could have stayed longer . We noticed an immense improvement in the food selection, service and quality . The buffet breakfast was very fresh . The evening bar snacks delicious and tasty . The De Bortoli Legacy house wine has to be the best house wine we have tasted and enjoyed . Thank you to management for a complimentary bottle of wine in our room on arrival. Also the chocolate . The staff were very friendly and we noticed there were a few more experienced food and beverage staff . Thank you . Julianne O.
