Well Located - Unfit descrption and service

We had booked 2 x apartments months in advance to secure the 2 x rooms to be side by side for our wedding - unfortunately upon checking in on the day, this request could then not be accommodated despite the fact we had been told previously that there was no issue. The rooms were then in 2 x completely different buildings which made it difficult for vendors to access easily on the morning of the wedding. The cost of the rooms were extremely overpriced considering the maintenance that was being carried out. We had been advised that the works would consist of roof and gutter restoration, garden upgrades and a full repaint of the building, therefore during this time scaffolding will be around the premises. At no point in time had your staff advised us that scaffold would be dismantled during our stay or that jack hammering would be commenced by trades at 6.30am in the morning.. The noise from this was extremely disruptive and our videographer wasn't able to capture any footage on the morning of due to this noise. The oven in one of the apartments could not be used - as it hit the door architrave upon opening - defeating the purpose of us paying additional funds to book the apartment with a full kitchen. We appreciate your review of the above feedback and hope this can assist your team with future bookings of guests.

Room was clean and comfortable. Room is due for a refurb though - showing signs of age eg bifold doors hard to push open, sliding wooden doors loud and one doesn’t seal off properly to ensuite. The noise levels were high - sound like there is a compressor near by 24/7. Side note - tradesmen could probably do with a little more supervision - working on a switchboard all day on Thursday left pathway to doorway covered in wires and other stuff- could be problematic for an elderly guest . .. we also couldn’t get wifi on same day- which could have been flagged to us rather than having to figure it out for ourselves.

Regarding the updating of the rooms, yes, we are currently undergoing the planning for refurbishing and updating our rooms, all of our works should be finished by 2025. We also apologise for the WiFi being down, unfortunately there was a regional wide WiFi outage during your stay, and our WiFi took a long time to reboot itself - we are currently talking to our body corporate team to update the provider. Relaxing Hastings Street stay

My recent stay at The Sebel, Noosa was great. Our apartment was spacious and very comfortable. The location of The Sebel is perfect, in the middle of Hastings Street, seconds from the beachfront and surrounded by great restaurants, cafes and boutiques. In the open plaza area in front of the hotel there are two great venues - Aroma is fabulous for breakfast, lunch or a coffee and Bang Bang serves amazing Asian food and cocktails. Whilst renovations at The Sebel are ongoing, I didn't experience any noise or inconvenience as the area undergoing work is isolated. The staff were terrific, especially Annie at reception who was helpful and went out of her way to make some arrangements for me. I would definitely stay here again.

I never would have booked if I’d known I would have booked elsewhere. It should be clear it was under construction not just mentioned in hotel news that no one reads
