The pool area has been completely transformed and redesigned to include a 'water blade' water feature from the pool bridge as well as two new poolside decks that provides more space for guests to utilise during their stay with us.

We spent four nights at the French Quarter Resort at the end of March to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Whilst not directly on Noosa Beach, the beach is a short walk across Hastings Street and a multitude of shops, restaurants and the surf club are just steps away. It’s also an easy walk along a boardwalk to Noosa National Park. The resort itself has a lovely central pool area with lush gardens. Unfortunately our room did not overlook the pool, instead it faced onto Hastings Street with a view of the building across the road, a tiny balcony that was exposed to the hot sun all day and all the noise of traffic and people on Hastings Street. Although we stayed during the week outside of school holidays, the resort was full of families with noisy children running around the walkways outside our room and shouting and splashing in the pool. Twice during our stay when we went to relax by the pool, swim, and read a book we were forced to leave because some child had had an “accident” in the pool and they had to close the pool for four hours for treatment and cleaning. Our options then were to sit on our hot balcony overlooking the street or go to the beach for a swim, and then sit in the hot sun on the sand (since we didn’t have a cabana with us). Our “deluxe” room was recently renovated and well equipped, but its location within the resort left us feeling like we were given a second class room. If you're travelling with children and can get a room overlooking the pool/gardens the location makes this resort a good choice, but if you’re a couple, I’d recommend you look for something else.

While these situations are managed promptly to ensure guest health and safety, we understand the disruption this can cause, especially when you were hoping to relax. We apologise that you weren't notified that we have cabanas, umbrellas and beach chairs available for rent from reception for your use at the beach. Your feedback regarding navigation around the resort and check-in communication is appreciated. We will review how we provide information to guests on arrival, including maps and details about available amenities such as hairdryers, to ensure a smoother experience. As a family-friendly resort, we do welcome guests of all ages, though we understand this may not suit all travellers, particularly those seeking a quieter stay. Please do not publish my feedback. The only disappointing aspect of our stay was the children in the pool. There was no supervision of the children in the pool and it became quite dangerous for both the children and others wanting to use the pool area. Whilst we expect noise and lots of families to be on holidays during school holidays, the pool situation was honestly ridiculous. There were children running, jumping off the bridge, jumping into the spa's when others were using it, kicking footballs (multiple people were hit in the head with the balls), kicking inflatable balls when jumping from the bridge (one ball went over the fence and into our alfresco area of our pool side room, and almost hit me in the head while sitting at the outside table), and generally having no regard for anyone else in the area. There were several couples like us (although we were holidaying with our adult children who were on uni break) who had to wait until about 8.30pm to be able to use the pool with out being jumped on, splashed etc. I understand that the children are ultimately the responsibility of their parents, however, consideration should be given to having supervision of the pool area during peak periods. We holiday 4-5 times per year and have always taken holiday's during school holidays and have never experienced that level of dangerous behaviour in a resort pool area nor been unable to use facilities at a resort. In fact our adult children (18 and 21) were so put off by it that they didn't use the pool at all during our stay. We are very unlikely to holiday at the French Quarter during a holiday period again, as we were unable to enjoy the facilities due to the behaviour of the children and not wanting to witness an accident. Most resorts we have stayed at have had supervision of some form in the pool area to avoid this type of issue.

The stay was good however the air conditioner was not working for the majority of the time. They mentioned some compensation would be available - has anyone considered this as it was an inconvenience.
