The pool area has been completely transformed and redesigned to include a 'water blade' water feature from the pool bridge as well as two new poolside decks that provides more space for guests to utilise during their stay with us.

Lovely week at Mantra French Quarter - updated room was well equipped and very comfortable for two people. Great location on Hastings Street - quiet end and opposite Massimos Ice Cream!!!

The floor in our unit was filthy and had not been cleaned. Disappointing given our experience last time when there was food in the microwave, a poo in the toilet and toothpaste all over the mirror when we arrived! We love what FQ offers but have been disappointed with cleanliness on both of our more recent trips.

We stayed with you in January 2025, after booking a one-bedroom deluxe apartment and requesting an upper floor overlooking the pool. We were allocated apartment 209 North which was unsuitable and fulfilled none of our requests. After complaining about this we were allocated apartment 322 East a couple of days later, which was excellent and we really enjoyed the rest of our stay. As a result, we decided to book again for January this year and requested apartment 322 East again. We arrived we were allocated 323 East, next door, which we thought would be fine, except when we realized it had only a queen size bed (unlike 322) and had minimal furniture, no table or chairs and a tidy bar fridge! Again, we complained but because the resort was fully booked, we were not able to move to another apartment (323 East) with a king bed and full-sized fridge, etc., for 3 days! Consequently, we were able to enjoy the remaining 6 days of our stay with our daughters and their families who were also staying there. My wife and I do realize that the Mantra French Quarter is not a hotel as such with homogenous room fit outs, but in our opinion, there is just too much of a disparity between apartments supposedly in the same category.

We fully understand how disappointing this would have been, especially given your previous positive experience and your specific requests made at the time of booking. As you have rightly noted, Mantra French Quarter operates with individually owned apartments, and while this does mean there can be variations in layout and fit-out, your feedback clearly highlights this apartment did not fulfil your expectations. Please be assured that we are actively raising these concerns with apartment owners and reviewing how apartment categories and key features are communicated. We have reviewed our apartment offerings and have removed the Deluxe category, now offering only Standard and Superior apartments. This change is intended to reduce variation between categories and provide greater clarity and consistency for guests when booking. Thank you again for your honest and constructive feedback. It is only through reviews like yours that we can continue to improve the experience we offer.
