I stayed in a suite, which was spacious and comfortable. The location is very convenient, with many shops and The Bund nearby. What made my experience exceptional was the warm hospitality of my stay. From the moment I arrived, even before check in, the service was outstanding. Alfred assisted with arranging my luggage delivery in advance. Melody provided a smooth and professional check in, clearly explaining everything. Lance was friendly and patient in introducing the hotel facilities, making us feel very welcome. Max also during afternoon tea in the Gold Lounge and dinner, warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. I would also like to highlight Nana, who handled an issue we experienced while dining at Phoenix Dragon Restaurant with great professionalism and provided an excellent solution. Also, Robin, who gave us a hotel tour, was very friendly, clear in his explanations, and highly knowledgeable about the hotel’s history. Lastly, to all the staff whose names I may have missed, the team at the door, in the lifts, and throughout the hotel, everyone was exceptional and consistently welcoming. The team’s sincere hospitality made a lasting impression. I would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

People ask me why I keep going back to the same hotel. I tell them to stay there and they will understand. It is a true 5 star hotel in a location that can't be beat for shopping and sight seeing. The selection in the restaurant for breakfast is great, the dumplings with the crunchy crust are always on my plate with plenty of other selection. Most importantly staff that really do make me feel like they appreciate that I have chosen to stay there. Terence again taking the time to talk about my days exploring Shanghai and seeing if there is anything I need, and making sure that any extras that I have asked for in the past are provided without me having to ask. Max in the gold lounge knowing how I like my coffee and having it on table before I get there with my snacks. The bamboo massage with Jenny in the spa was the best intense, invigorating massage I have ever had. Next time I will do it on my first day to shake off the jet lag.
