We absolutely loved this hotel—the location is unbeatable! We arrived on an early flight and went straight to the hotel to drop off our luggage. Although we came back before the official check-in time, the staff took such great care of us. You could really feel their warmth and attentiveness. They even offered us access to the spa so we could refresh, as we were quite tired and ended up falling asleep there. What truly touched us was that the staff noticed this and proactively prepared our room early—without us even asking and well before check-in time. We completely understood the standard policy, which made their gesture even more meaningful. That moment really won our hearts. Throughout our stay, everything was exceptional—the service, facilities, room, breakfast… everything. It’s honestly hard to describe just how amazing it was. We truly love this hotel and will definitely be back. Highly recommended to everyone!

This is a world-class hotel. The building is almost 100 years old, a classic from its period, and extremely well maintained. The staff are plentiful and attentive, ready to assist with good English-speaking skills. I enjoyed the jazz bar (Accor membership qualifies you for a free cocktail) and last year did the tea. The breakfast is so extensive that routinely I have seen guests videotape the abundance of the feast. The location on the bund allows for great morning runs directly across from the hotel of up to 10KM with amazing views. The Fairmont Fit packages is as always great for running shoes and exercise clothes you then don't need to pack. I have been to China twice now on business and love to make this my entry point to recover from jet lag. Its simply an amazing place to stay.

Beautiful well located hotel. Accor plus gold status benefits were well recognized. Attentive helpful service with smile from check in front desk staff, concierge, lovely service staff in fairmont gold lounge, spa staff and house keeping. Prime location on the bund and Nanjing Road with views of the city sky line made Shanghai experience convenient and most enjoyable.

Wonderful stay due to fantastic location on East Nanjing Pedestrian street, the Bund and close proximity to metro station (East Nanjing Rd). The staff were exemplary, from the front desk to those in the Jasmine lounge/restaurant and especially ALL the staff working in the Executive lounge. Staff spoke English very well and we felt very welcomed with personalized service.
