I booked in to stay at the Peace Hotel Fairmont Gold Suite. The lady at the front desk advised that I can check in at the Gold lounge for a better experience and she personally took me up to level 9 and briefed the situation with Nan Nan from the lounge for check in. I told her that I was celebrating my anniversary and travelling with children. She allocated the best room possible for me with a good view for the bund. I asked her about the roof deck that I saw people walking around a couple of days ago and was wondering if that was the lounge. She advised the deck is for private function and not for public access. However she said she would ask the management if we can go up and have a look. Later on that evening, after having dinner at the lounge, I asked about the deck to the manager at the time Margjoy. She then checked with the team message and confirmed it was ok to go up. She asked Jillian to take us to visit the deck. We were very lucky to visit the deck and saw the best view of the bund and Lujiazui. Jillian was very helpful and helped us to take photos from her phone. The experience was amazing and Margjoy was very helpful in getting information to travel from the bund to Lujiazui by Ferry. The bed was very comfortable and it was the best sleep since the start of my travel in China. I did not want to get out of bed in the morning! When we checked out both Nan Nan, Margjoy and the whole team were there. I was surprised that they printed a copy of our photo and put it in a frame for us as a gift. My stay at the hotel was amazing. Everyone at the hotel was very polite and well trained. They all have the mentality of putting customer first and try their best to make the customers happy. They have the best attention to details and it was the best experience that I have ever had. Special thanks to Nan Nan, Margjoy, Jillian and the team, they gave me a life time best experience. I will definitely come back again!

Second time to the hotel. Love its location..near to the Bund n also the subway with 2 lines. Lotsa eateries n shopping. The staffs in the Gold lounge are always so accomodating n friendly. Really love the heritage of the hotel.

Normally, I don’t really like writing hotel reviews, but I feel that the Fairmont Peace Hotel truly deserves one this time. First of all, the hotel is a building steeped in history. Usually, my personal preference leans toward newer hotels, but this place gave me a uniquely different flavor. Another reason is that I came here with my father, and he absolutely loved it. Back in his era, he considered this to be one of the best hotels in China, so this stay gave him an unforgettable experience. The hotel's service was also incredibly attentive. We had originally booked a base-tier room, but since I hold an Accor Diamond membership, I received an upgrade. Our hotel package also included access to the Gold Lounge, which allowed us to have breakfast either at the restaurant on the 9th floor or on the 1st floor. We also went to see the hotel's famous jazz performance together, and it was fantastic. Lastly, I want to highlight Kevin, the receptionist at the Fairmont gold Lounge, whose service was absolutely meticulous. I am incredibly grateful to him for all the wonderful arrangements he made for us.
