The hotel is just beside the Shanghai Railway Station, very convenient to connect with railway or metro. The room is good, no noisy . The disappoint is the breakfast, compare to other hotel, it seems not too much food to choose.

Very good. The deposit is impossible to give for all guests don't own a credit card. Foreigners in China can not have it. I know that it is possible to give a deposit by Alipay (Pullman Weifang where I am used to stay). Could be very very good to have the same here.

Everything is okay with the Hotel. Only 2 thing that needs improve : a. English speaking from front desk is still considered bad. b. Attitude from Concierges still has some old china people typical, a bit unfriendly and less respect. We asked for calling taxi and when the taxi arrived, the concierge guy asked us to go out in some less manner way.

Overall the experience is good. The presence and hospitality of the staff are warm and excellent. Additionally the location is perfect, only few steps away from the Metro Line 1. However during my 5nights stay, i dont think the aircond in my room is functioning. I have to open the window to let the cool air in.

I was staying in the hotel for 4 nights with my family. I checked on 31 Dec and the check in was smooth and the staff gave my young son a toy. The check in process was quite smooth. Issues started when we faced construction work till 4am in the morning from a site outside the hotel. We request for room change and on 1 Jan, the staff we met are mostly in a hang over mode, looking extremely listless. During the room change, we had to call for a porter for help. The tall guy who came looked completely reluctant to help and offered no assistance to help me move my luggage and clothes on hangers on the trolley until I pushed one luggage to him. When I went into the room to collect another luggage, he was grunting and panting loudly when he moved one luggage (the luggage was 20kg) based in our check in weight. The attitude is absolutely horrible. As a platinum member, I expect some degree of consistency but not attitude like this. Not offering to help is bad enough. Why be a porter when one is so reluctant to even help lift a standard size luggage. The service at the front desk is also inconsistent, we met one girl at about 10pm, she was the only one at the reception and we asked her if the room we changed was the same class because there was no espresso machine. She swiftly attended to our request and had one coffee machine moved to our new room from old because not all executive rooms have coffee machines due to space configuration. She was polite and efficient and solved our problems. The lounge staff were also good and our family was well taken care off at the lounge. There was a staff called Nancy and another one. They were polite and efficient. On check out, i encountered another incompetent staff. The staff in charge of my check out asked me to write down my email because I asked her to email me the receipt. I told her the email is in the system because I am an accor plus platinum. She insisted i fill it in on the registration form that we get on check in and I took the registration form and showed her exactly where the email was because the system automatically print it on the registration. Instead of apologising, she looked extremely unapologetic and black faced. This is both rude and incompetent. The hotel facilities are ok but service standards can be quite inconsistent but the overall stay was good. The bed 3specially was great for me and they offer multiple types of pillow. I spent about 3 months a year in accor hotels and the sleep here count as one of the best. If the service can be more consistent, it would be a great hotel.

The hotel facility was a little worn and weary and having stayed in other Pullman hotels elsewhere in the world this hotel at Jingan does not feel like a Pullman hotel. It feels like a Mercure hotel which it was initially before the rebranding to Pullman. Windows were not double glazed which means the drilling and piling road works outside were a real disturbance.

Shanghai is a big city. Because of that, we need to stay at strategic location. Pullman Shanghai Jing An located in near of Shanghai Railway Station, which is we can going anywhere in Shanghai very easy. And also many choice of food is available surrounded, so you don't be starving anymore.

+ personell in the executive lounge + food spread during Happy Hour in Lounge + location, exit 5 of metro line 1 is part of the building of the hotel - had to change rooms 3 times in order to get a room without smoke smell - room is very noisy, the windows are very thin. Yes, there are construction works going on, but even without them you could hear a car honking or only accelarating (even in the 26th floor!) - breakfast spread was alright, but worse than other 4 star hotels in Shanghai (e.g. Crowne Plaza) - we were charged nearly 100 CNY for printing 30 pages in the executive lounge. There was no notice that it would cost something. We were just told afterwards. Thankfully, another staff member in the executive lounge cancelled those fees and admitted that this should have been communicated better. - the Hotel has 28 floors, but only 3 elevators. Long waiting times and full elevators are the result. I stayed in a holiday inn express with only 7 floors in Shanghai, but they even had 4 elevators.

Service from the counter is very cold. Lots of porter standing at the door but no one bothered to help us with our bags. Food at hotel wasn't by accor thus was not entitled to the discount.

Everything was fine except the room temperature was fixed at 18 deg C, heater on. Front desk told my wife that this could not be changed or adjusted as this is a centralized air-con. We were given a standing fan instead with air-con off for the 4 nights stay, and we were not offered a change of room or we were too reluctant to ask for a change. Please let your next guest to stay in a perfect condition room.

Good hotel, although the design is a bit atypical for Pullman (looks like it was a Marriot or Hilton and then sold/rebranded. In general very friendly staff, with the exception of staff managing parking/taxis who are extremely rude.

Stay was fine but room was very warm due to morning sunlight which no air-con to cool down the temperature in the winter season ! Front desk staff looked "stunt" when I asked for room bill to be charged in foreign currency via credit card which major hotels around China have this option for some time ago ! Not even bother to get further clarification from other staff, SHE gave me her look as I have just travelled in China recently !
