The hotel is old and not kept well. The door to the bathroom fall off during our 1 night stay. The towels were worn out grey color. The fridge had no room for our water because it was full with alcohol for sale. No free water bottles provided. Only a jar with tap water. Motel quality room.

We had a 10hr layover overnight and the stay was worth it! Went through customs and around the corner and up 3 floors, quick check-in and very comfortable beds for our quick sleep. Staff was friendly during booking and check-in.

I stayed at Fairmont YVR for two nights, March 20 and 21. When I arrived to check in, I was dismayed to learn that I had booked the wrong nights and my reservation was for the following two nights (March 21 and 22). Dmitri was the staff member checking me in, and I cannot commend him enough. He kindly got to the heart of the problem and figured out that it was my own error. He originally indicated that the hotel was sold out, but once he saw that I had booked a Gold room, he was able to find me a Gold room for March 20 and 21. The room was not yet ready, so he escorted me up to the Gold floor, brought me to the lounge, and let the staff on the Gold floor know that I was waiting for housekeeping to finish with the room. I did not have to wait long, and I was even upgraded to a Runway View room. I stay at this hotel a couple of times a year and this was the first time that anything went wrong. Dmitri handled the problem so well and never made me feel dumb for booking the wrong nights - and not noticing it on any of the emails the hotel sent! I cannot say how much I appreciate Dmitri's kindness and excellent handling of the situation. As always, my stay on the Gold floor was lovely. My room was luxurious and spotless. I enjoyed the lounge and was pleased that the staff remembered my name. I am rating my experience as a 9 only because of the price of the room. It was quite expensive, and more so than last time I stayed. But as a treat it was well worth it.

landing from long haul flight is great to start our holiday with the convenience of the airport hotel & it’s luxury feel. Stand were good. Food excellent and a lovely relaxing room.
