Staying at the airport location made catching an early flight much less stressful. While somewhat pricey, avoiding having to arrange timely transportation was the ultimate tradeoff. The valet and housekeeping staff were very helpful. The desk clerk ensured I had solid information regarding Customs & security, along with a backup wake up call.

Everything was great but I have one gripe. When I see a mini-fridge in a hotel room, I assume I can keep something cold in it overnight, but not the case there. Even after removing a dozen cans/bottles, I put a yogurt parfait I had bought in the terminal in it and it was room temp in the morning. I had to check out at 5:30 am for my flight so I could not buy the Fairmont's yogurt parfait, since food wasn't available until 6 am. When I checked out, I explained to the manager and he very graciously acceded to my request, which was to have someone get me a Fairmont yogurt parfait from the kitchen at no cost, so I could throw out mine which I didn't dare eat. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THERE NEEDS TO BE A SIGN ON THE MINI-FRIDGE WARNING THAT IT WILL NOT KEEP ANYTHING COLD. Everything else was great about the room and stay was great.

Overall experience was good. As a senior I do have an issue with a low toilet and lack of handbars. As a woman who wears makeup every day…no mirror in bathroom for finer details!

I booked the hotel room for me and my mother during a long layover and we were both ill. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly accommodating and went above and beyond. Everything was excellent including allowing us an early check in and late checkout since our flight wasn’t until 7:30pm next day. Beds are very comfortable and room size is excellent. Bathroom facilities are top-notch for hotel at an airport. The hotel restaurant was the only slightly less experience because of their lack of choice and overcooking of every chicken dish we had to dryness. Service however was outstanding!

The problem with their perfection is that it highlights imperfection. The light control panel switch for the first bed did not function. Lights had to be turned on and off from the second bed via it switch panel. The mini bar while convenient was not fully stocked. This created concern that unwarranted charges would be levied. If you’re gonna have a mini bar or snack station that records when items are removed as a purchase, they should be filled before the next occupant of the room takes possession. The rest of our day was fantastic employees at the front desk were exceptional. Concierge were more than helpful and the comfort of the room was outstanding. In any other environment, the rating might’ve been a six or seven but like I mentioned near perfection, highlights, and perfection.

We arrived and were greeted by a gentleman that took us to the Gold floor. We met an extremely friendly concierge woman who assigned us our room and explained all of the amenities. Questions were all answered. Room was impeccable. They thought of everything including an umbrella for rainy times. A telescope in the room to view the mountains and the planes arriving. Bed was super comfortable. Went for the canapés dining session, it was Asian themed. Husband loved the food. I have celiac, so they made me a special meal of chicken wings. Quite a lot of options. Went back for dessert time. Had lots for us to choose from. Again wonderful choices, very delicious. Breakfast next day was a full spread. We enjoyed gluten free muffins, egg frittata, bacon, sausage, toast, coffee etc. was so delicious. So many options even for me and my celiac. This was by far the best hotel service we have ever had. I would not hesitate to go back if in the area. I will also look at staying at Fairmont anywhere I go, especially the Gold rooms. Thank you Fairmont.
