It was an easy and good stay. Our kids loved watching the airplanes from the hotel room. Would have been completely happy with stay, however I requested a cot for our room twice, when I booked over the phone and then called when we arrived to our room and there was not one there yet. We never received the cot which made our sleep lest restful and quite disappointed especially considering the cost of room.

After a week in Hawaii and a 10 day cruise, we did a quick port adventure exploring the beautiful city of Vancouver we then checked into the Fairmont in the airport, I walked into room and curled up in the bed and took the best nap ever. This was extreme comfort!

shower head was old and leaked badly making having a shower a challenge, check in experience was not good - staff person must have been new, not a usual Fairmont staffer. Accord points were not included or recognized that I was a member and have been for many years. Getting a bellman to assist with the luggage in the morning took some time ( I get it that staffing is an issue), but we just made our flight and the bellman was good when he arrived. Not pleased, I stay with Fairmont over 30 nights/year and know good service, this was very unusual for this Fairmont as previous says have been excellent, oh we'll.....

Our studio room was overlooking the runway. Quite amazing to watch planes take-off and land in the comfort of our room. Soundproofing awesome! Service on the Gold Floor was impeccable, warm and helpful in every respect. I am a Fairmont junky, now added one more, FAirmont YVR, to our list.

hotel alarm system went off for 1/2 hour straight at midnight

At around midnight was woken up to a blaring hotel alarm that proceeded to go for the next 1/2 hour to 45 min straight. Occasionally the front desk would come on the overhead pa system and say they didn't know what was going on but were looking into it. I asked the front desk attendant about it on check out and he made it seem like it happened all the time. He offered no service recovery for the experience. I expected more from the fairmont brand.

Was hoping for a swim but the pool isn’t big enough to swim. Such a sham as I expected better facilities. Also the people waiting for COVID tests was a bit off-putting.

We were surprised and thrilled that the hotel provided amenities for our cat (litter box, food/water bowl) without us having to ask. Our cat was certainly happy to arrive to a set up litter box after the long journey. Thanks!

WE stay at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport for the convenience when flying. It has been boon to have the Covid testing site near at hand. We take advantage of the Gold service, which makes food and beverages, light, fast and so close.

I stayed at the hotel in hopes of getting a stress free nights rest before and early morning flight , but the alarms going off throughout the night were most disturbing. I understand the need to alert people , but given there was no emergency was it necessary for a second alarm to alert people? It was very disappointing.

When you're tired from travelling and you know that you don't even have to leave the airport for a lovely overnight hotel stay it actually feels like an extra day of vacation. The restaurant and lounge with live music is another part of what makes a night at Fairmont YVR so exceptional. Comfortable and quiet hotel. Wonderful staff.

Arrived after an intense long day of travel, looking forward to my sleep at the Fairmont, have stayed here many times This time was less than adequate Checked in around 11:30 pm and just crawled into bed to be woken by fire alarm and guest instructions Finally slept by 1:30 to be woke to the same fire alarm and procedure at 8 am. Very frustrating stay

The stay began fine, but at midnight the fire alarm went off. A few announcements came to stay in our room etc. But then a long period of time went by and no further announcements so we called down to the front desk to see if we could go back to bed. All was clear. But after being woken from a dead sleep, it takes some time for the adrenalin to go and fall asleep again. Then.....Only to be woken up again early in the morning to the same alarm. We totally understand that things happen and need to be addressed for safety, but some compensation should be offered. Even a cup of coffee in the morning with breakfast would have been a nice gesture for paying for a nights stay with very little sleep.
