The Fairmont Pacific Rim could not have been more luxurious or comfortable. The rooms were stunning, very elegant yet infinitely cozy, and the food and drink both in the lounge and the rest of the hotel were unparalleled. We came to just relax and unplug, and that’s exactly what this hotel and its amazing staff helped us to. The Fairmont Gold experience here made us feel incredibly welcome and at ease. Melanie and Hector especially were kind and accommodating. There was a frustrating issue with the phone in our room being miswired, which resulted in some service requests being missed. BUT the experts on staff determined the cause of the issue and corrected it quickly and graciously. Only one slight complaint: I was traveling with a longtime friend, who is NOT in any way my wife or romantic partner (I’m gay). I made it clear on my pre-arrival form and again at check-in what her name is (we do not share a last name), and the non-romantic nature of our relationship. However, she was repeatedly referred to as Mrs. Thomas throughout our stay. We absolutely understand that this came from a place of genuine kindness and gracious customer service by the wonderful staff, so we stopped correcting it after the first couple of times. The fact that that is the only even slightly negative thing I have to say about this experience speaks volumes about what a joyfully pleasant, relaxing and replenishing experience we had at this remarkable hotel. I will definitely be back.

The service cannot be faulted, the staff go above and beyond, The rooms are immaculate! The fridge and aircon was very noisy, turning them off not straightforward.
