-Was unable to check into room at the check-in time. i was asked to wait 1.5 hours for my Fairmont Gold Floor Suite. I was unable to change from my travel close to business close and attended two business meetings in sweats. Gold Floor check in was sorry, but not helpful. Asst. Mangere felt bad about check-in experience so offered me $100 credit at lobby bar- As a guest of the hotel, was unable to secure a table at the lobby bar throughout my stay. So gift was unusable Have not yest sent me a proper invoice and have yet to credit my Accor account any points.

Thank you for inviting feedback. My husband and I have been staying at the Pacific Rim since 2010 or 2011 and have returned nearly every year, sometimes twice annually. Over that time, the hotel has consistently been our favorite place to stay in Vancouver, which makes this particular visit especially disappointing. Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay felt markedly different from the standard we have long associated with the property. Upon arrival, the lobby, which we have always recognized for its signature scent, had a noticeable sewer-like odor. In addition, the atmosphere throughout the property felt far less calm and refined than on previous visits. There were large groups of children running through the hallways, which disrupted the sense of quiet and relaxation we have traditionally enjoyed at the hotel. We were also required to move rooms twice during our stay. The second room proved even louder than the first, which meant an unexpected amount of our time was spent packing, relocating, and resettling rather than enjoying our visit. After more than a decade of stays, this was an entirely new experience for us at the Pacific Rim. We also chose to dine at Bacaro. Years ago, when Giovanni’s format changed we were initially disappointed, but this year, decided to approach the restaurant with an open mind. Unfortunately, both the food and service fell short of expectations, and I became quite ill later that evening. What has always set the Pacific Rim apart for us has been the consistent sense of polish, calm, and exceptional service. This visit, however, felt inconsistent with the standard we have come to expect from the Pacific Rim over many years of stays. For the first time since we began visiting, we left without the same enthusiasm to return. I have intentionally chosen not to publish this feedback publicly at this time. Given our long history with the property, I felt it was more appropriate to share these observations directly and allow the hotel an opportunity to review the experience.

Check in was very smooth, and all staff were helpful and courteous. The room was a generous size and had thoughtful amenities. The bed was comfortable. You could not hear any street noise, nor could you hear noise from the hallway. We will definitely stay here again!
