I have never been more disappointed. The premises are renovation and most of them closed off. I was never told about this. On day of checkout the water was turned of. I was not aware of this. The airport shuttle was all but non existent.

Loved the get away vibes and openness of the resort.

Dear Karl, Thank you for being a valued ALL – Accor Live Limitless member and for choosing to stay with us at Novotel, Mercure and Ibis Darwin Airport during the Australia Day weekend. We truly appreciate your lovely comments about our facilities and service. It’s wonderful to know you had an enjoyable stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Best regards, Novika Ang Front Office Assistant Manager

I use Mercure regularly as my transit point to and fro work between East Arnhem and Perth, because of its location. The stay is okay, but the ease of location has been the motivation. But every time there has been some issue with the airport shuttle pick up. Last time I had to call 5 times and it came 1 hour later; and this last stay, I was told “we have issues and cannot pick up” so please find your own way. I had to get a taxi from airport to the hotel. If that be the case, I can happily take a taxi from the airport to a hotel with better service!

Was moved 3 times. First room #301 - the card reader on the door was faulty. So the next day i was asked to move to #305 which was down the hall. No help was offered to move my luggage. I had a few items due to traveling with a band. The next day the AC unit froze up and started leaking. Unit leaked on to my luggage and ruined all my items inside the bag as it was open overnight. No help was offered even though i explained to staff that my clothes were wet from the unit dripping water. Terrible service. Was Moved to a the mecure side on the opposite side of the property away from my travelling group. This was ok although i waited over an hour for my luggage to be moved as i was told it was a busy and inconvenient time. I was offered 3x drink vouchers. I dont drink.

I regularly stay for 4 - 5 nights at a time to visit family in Darwin. This time I was disappointed because the Mercure pool and bar area was closed with no notification, with large construction fences everywhere. Staying at the Mercure rather than the Novotel is usually a pleasure because of the tropical gardens and shaded pool. The new Novotel pool is impressive but has no shade and is closed at sunset so there is no way to swim without being in the glare. $20 per night to park my car!!! No notice of this new fee either, and the 'free carpark' was too far away to be useful especially in the wet.
