A pretentious youth hostel for the price of a decent top end hotel. Smelly room, without view, without amenities, ridiculuos breakfast that doesn't start at 7am as advertised, mediocre wifi. Never again.

Bonviure2021 Couples - TripAdvisor review

I have been in the beautiful Mama Shelter Rio twice and I had some issues but this time was very bad difficult to understand in an All Accor hotel. In 5 days I had an intoxication after dinner and next morning breakfast, 1 day without hot water, noisy engines or something similar every night, 1 full evening and night without electricity in the entire hotel and generator didn't work as well. So never again!!!

This hotel was excellent and the staff could not be more helpful. Very enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel was in a great location. It represented great value for money and our whole party enjoyed our stay.

Great location to explore Santa Teresa and surrounding area. Very close to the Tram, popular tourist attractions and some interesting local artist shops. The Escadaria Selarón mosaic staircase in Lapa is close by. the hotel has a small family feel and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

KirkStuart Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

What a gem! Beautiful property, great restaurant and breakfast, excellent location in Santa Teresa (just a short walk to the famous tram), but it's the people that make this a five-star review. Everyone was friendly, and helpful, especially Andrea and Ana at the front desk who helped when I left my prescription sunglasses on the plane (I got them back!). I, also, will be back. Obrigado!
