The barmaid did reject my welcome drink coupon I had not used from my stay in Nov 25 saying it has expired and can not be used after. she also refused to serve me a house drink saying that this coupon is only for soft drink, beer or wine where till now I always had been offered a house drink. She was not behaving like a guest rather than a customer in a bar in front of other guests. It was a shame for Novhotel…

While we are unfortunately unable to honour expired welcome drink vouchers, and the welcome drink offering is limited to a selection of beer, wine or soft drinks, this should have been communicated in a warm and respectful manner. I stayed for one night on 18 March and checked out. On Saturday 21 March my card was charged the $300 deposit, and this wasn’t refunded until Tuesday 24 March. This is completely unacceptable. The deposit should be a hold, not a charge, that is released immediately upon check out. I won’t want to stay at Novotel again for this reason.
