This hotel is well located close to two U stations, tramline and trainstation. So getting into the centre of Vienna is easy. The room was clean and spacious.

Greetings, this hotel left mixed impressions, good parking value - 20 eur for guests, little tiny parking enter/exit, but I managed with my 5,2 almost meters car, so just not hurry and make it, upgrade for Diamond member done, no welcome amenity, rich and comprehensive breakfast, as declared in the elevator, but just for the first day, the next day mixed sausages were changed into third type of eggs, besides the 2 already existing one, not working conditioner, but it is quite hot at the final floor, as the heating from the corridor and the main building is still very high, Staff told - it is not the summer, not the time for conditioning, I had to open doors and window, but I have an allergy, it was quite difficult for my health, great staff altitude

Front desk team were very attentive before arrival and during the stay, housekeeping did a great job cleaning but the gentleman at breakfast is unhappy or miserable, maybe he needs to get another job where he doesn’t assist people. This is the reason why I gave a 6

I have mixed feelings about my stay. The hotel is well located. close to the shopping street, restaurants, subway station and grocery stores. it's also a nice 40 min walk to Schonbrunn. really pleasant. the staff is also nice. but the hotel is somewhat not up to par. the room I stayed in was a little shabby. I also wish they had better hair care products. usually, when I stay at Mercures, I expect somewhat exquisite and yet homey design. this one is just usual hotel. without any Mercure personality. so I wouldn't stay there again, but would choose an Ibis for less money and the same setup. The sauna is small. only two chairs in the rest area and steam room also cat take two people at a time. so. won't give you a low grade just because I love Accor and they've always treated me well. but I would definitely work in the value part of the hotel.

Upon arrival, we greeted your staff in German and then continued the conversation in English. Communication was clear, polite, and fully sufficient for the check-in process. However, after seeing our passports, the administrator abruptly switched to Russian and asked, “Do you speak Russian?” When my mother replied that we do not speak Russian, the administrator responded with visible contempt and asked, “Why? What happened?” This question was inappropriate and intrusive. My mother then showed her Ukrainian military ID to explain why we do not use the Russian language. The administrator dismissed this explanation with an indifferent gesture, ending the conversation abruptly. I want to be absolutely clear: We were already communicating effectively in English. There was no operational or service-related reason to switch to Russian. The insistence on using a specific language, followed by a judgmental reaction, was deeply unprofessional and emotionally distressing. Language choice is a personal matter, especially for guests from countries affected by war and trauma. No guest should ever be questioned, judged, or made uncomfortable for refusing to speak a particular language — especially when a mutually understood alternative is already in use. This experience caused significant disappointment and distress at what should have been a welcoming moment at your hotel. Such behavior does not align with the standards of Mercure or Accor, which publicly promote respect, inclusivity, and cultural sensitivity. I hope the management of Mercure Raphael Hotel takes this matter seriously I recommend adding a few mats for the gym, for doing yoga or stretching after doing the sports. Thank you!
