I was given a room on the top floor and above me was the heating and ventilation equipment for the hotel. The noise was very hard to sleep through and it even caused a vibration in the bathroom where the glass in the shower vibrated loudly all night. Worst night’s sleep I have had in a hotel.

Stop off to break up the journey home. We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist. Our room was ready even though we were early. The hotel is beautiful clean and the staff are very friendly and very professional. It's ideally located in the town. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious perfect fried eggs.

This was our third stay at this hotel, previous stays were great. Noticed this time, cleanliness of room not up to standard, especially the bathroom, hairs found on shower tray and toilet.. and in general all looking shabby.. Food ok in restaurant but nothing special, starters that were cold, and desserts on a freezing cold plate that had come out of a fridge. Service very rushed. But a very nice honey mojito, excellent.. we would stay again but felt that standards had slipped a bit..

Overall my stay was okay but I don’t feel it warrants as a 4 star. The pillows were really uncomfortable and lumpy. No sanitiser in any of the public dispensers. Poor complimentary tea, coffee. I had initially a room with a balcony but the room stunk of aftershave and stale tobacco so I moved to a king room. The size of the room was fine but I found the tv only had very basic channels to watch. Definitely would have expected overall better being a 4 star hotel.
