The location is excellent, but the hotel desperately needs an upgrade of the rooms. They are simply old, and the carpet is beyond the shelf life and full of spots. The bathroom size is ok, but a walk-in shower when renovating will do the trick.

Dear Michael, Thank you for your review of our hotel! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay overall. We are aware of the somewhat worn condition of our rooms. After the successful renovation of our ground floor in 2018 with a total investment of around €7.5 million, we were confident that we could start planning the renovation of the rooms in 2020. Unfortunately, Corona had other plans. However, there is good news! The planning has finally started and we hope to be able to start renovating the room floors soon. After a shower, the water from the bathtub flows through the tiles onto the bathroom floor. Bathroom tiles are sticky. A crack in the sink. The bedside light switch does not work. The TV broadcast cannot be watched, only stripes and dots vibrate. The beds is too soft.

After the successful renovation of our ground floor in 2018, we had planned to renovate the rooms in 2020. Unfortunately, this has been delayed due to the pandemic. Unfortunaltey this time my stay in the hotel wasn't satisfactory. Just to make it clear, overall the hotel is very good, the staff is very friendly, etc. I had a 3 day stay from Monday to Thursday. Per policy of the hotel, room service is performed every two days, meaning in this case, on Wednesday. When I came back from my business visits on Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 pm, unfortunately nothing was done. After complaining at the reception, the room was done but at the same time I received an unacceptable torn towel. I never expereinced this during my more than 20 years of business travel, including stays in 2 star and 3 star hotels. This is not worthy of a 4 star hotel. I hope this will not happen again in my next stay in this hotel in October.
