First, I want to say THANK YOU! I finally had a shower that actually drained and I didn’t have to stand in dirty water. Still haven’t mastered taking a shower without getting water all over the bathroom floor. A more absorbent floor towel would be great! Third… what’s up with the air conditioning? Absolutely couldn’t get it to work. This hotel is notorious for that! I need my room cool for medical purposes. I had my window open, but someone was smoking until 3 AM and their cigarette smoke bellowed into my room so I had to close the window. It was too late to call maintenance to have them look at my air conditioner. I love the location of your hotel and the staff is always so nice. Loved the two comforters! Usually you only give one!

We are a 100% non-smoking hotel and our bar closes the terrace at 11pm. Apparently some guests still smoke illegally at the window. I come here every couple of months for business & every time I come here, my room is so warm, it can be warmer than the outside temp. Its very difficult to sleep in & get good rest. You would think I would just be able to adjust the temperature myself in the room, but unfortunately everything is in German, & nothing in English, so I tried calling housekeeping...no answer. I called the front desk...it doesn't connect at all...& this has happened in the past times as well in previous rooms. Then I have to walk down to the front desk to ask if someone would come up to adjust the thermostat. The 2 employees at the front where very nice, & called for me. But this happens every time. They need to put directions on how to work the thermostat in various languages, as my co-workers have also complained about the temperature in the room. This includes in winter, its blasting hot air that is much too hot to sleep in. The rooms themselves are barely furnished with a bed & a desk chair with a built in desk. The bathroom is clean, but small like most European bathrooms, with old towels, & bottled soap. Also, my TV didn't work, it wouldn't turn on. Since I wasn't going to watch it. I just let them know at check out. Still another problem with this old hotel. Another thing I don't like about this hotel is the fact that I brought food in, to eat in my room, & asked the restaurant if I could get some utensils, to eat with, & they charged me 2.50 euros!!!! For energy consumption the female bartender told me! I couldn't believe it! The food came from the grocery store, so it wasn't as if I was getting it from a restaurant. Absolutely ridiculous charge!! But I had no way to eat my food, so was forced to pay for a knife, fork, & spoon. This hotel is old & needs to be updated in many ways. You'd be much better off staying elsewhere, as they charge you for the most random items & their rooms are extremely plain, old & much too warm throughout the year. Last week the air condition was completely broken! Previously, there was, on another visit there was no hot water in the entire hotel.!! And all they gave out were vouchers for the inconvenience. Even though most of the front desk & housekeeping staff is nice, the hotel itself is old & run down, & has major problems. Go elsewhere for your stay in this charming city.

That was still out until the beginning of May, since the nights were relatively cool with under 10 degrees. Our reception is available 24 hours a day and is very happy to help. More and more guests buy food outside instead of in our restaurant and take our cutlery without giving it back, so we feel compelled to take such measures. We are aware of the current condition of some rooms and bathrooms. After the successful renovation of our ground floor in 2018, with a total investment of around €7.5 million, we planned to renovate the rooms for 2020. Unfortunately, the renovation has been postponed due to the pandemic. We are currently in talks with craft companies in order to be able to start the room renovation next year. Great location in Wiesbaden. Rooms are worn and unappealing. Carpet is matted and stained. On my last stay the room was hot and the AC had not been switched on yet. Told by the front staff to turn off as it would only blow hot air. Lobby area and bar/restaurant is lovey. Rooms needs a remodel asap. Most front office staff are nice and helpful, some are not or just over guest complaints.
