Overall Mercure Wiesbaden is my preferred Hotel because of the quality service by the very friendly and accommodating staff from Reception to Restaurant to Housekeeping. The Staff are always ready to assist. Very clean Rooms with good bedding and an array of TV Channels. Its proximity to places of interest makes it a must Hotel to stay at.

Good: + swimming pool and sauna + well functioning air conditioning (once I understood how to control it in German) + most of the front desk employees + breakfast Areas for improvements: - The on-line check in asked a lot of questions and was very laborious - why do I need to fill in the details that are already in my profile and booking like credit card or loyalty card number? Why am I pushed again pay for things I already have paid for like breakfast? - Digital key was not activated and I had to go to the frontdesk for it - Many things were not working properly like hairdryer or phone charging stand - I understand employing trainees so they learn through practical work, but they should have some basic skills before they are put into customer facing roles. The trainee who attempted to check me out did not reply to my greeting, did not look me into eyes once and did reply anything when I said goodbye when leaving the hotel.

Nice room, good breakfast, small but ok'eysh spa place with small gym. Hotel has a parking, but its rather very tight. Also be ready that Hotel will block a certain amount on you Credit Card (which is higher than a room rate) and its not returned yet after a week of our stay.
