During the booking process in the app I added the breakfast for the maximum amount of people which was 2. At the morning of entering the breakfast room the watchdog lady at the entrance did not want to let out children of 15 and 13 in as they had not paid for the breakfast and accused us of not entering the age of the children correctly without any further background info. Apparently at Mercure children of 13 and 15 are charged in full for breakfast which was not known. In addition the lady at the reception confirmed to us we booked with breakfast at check-in the night before. The breakfast lady made us go to the reception and pay the additional amount, which then comes down to 4*24 Euros for a mediocre breakfast for 4 people. That is basically an amount for a dinner. The whole process is obviously totally unsatisfying: The app is not correctly designed for the different "rules" at the different Accor branches, the watchdog lady lacks any kind of proper behaviour towards customers and the reception lady can only think in black/white procedures. The result should have been that they admitted the fault in the process and let our children in without any charge. Next time I wont book any breakfast at all, but actually I'm hoping for a refund from your side still.

The hotel was in a great spot. Once I figured out how to use thermostat, the room was comfortable. The shower was weird. If you positioned the shower head center, the floor beside it flooded so you had to keep it to the side which made it awkward. The reason for the low score though is I was charged more than the receipt I was given. That is unacceptable. My receipt is for 675.50 euros, roughly $786.28 US dollars. The charge on my credit card statement was $820.46. If I am given a final bill, I should be notified of additional charges. Furthermore, if the additional charge is for breakfast, I did not eat the breakfast. My first morning there, I gave my room number to the person at the stand and walked in, but didn’t see anything I liked so I left and never went back in the dining room. I told the person who checked me out this as well. I would like a refund of the difference.

Room is dated/worn out. Facilities are fine. Staff is great. What’s not fine is the feeling of the room not being deeply cleaned. Seems like clean bed linens and towels are the priority (important) but that’s about it. At first glance the room looks clean. Major surfaces are wiped clean but there are stains and things that should be deep cleaned/repaired. But when you look closely, there’s soap scum and grime on all faucets. A good deep clean would do the trick. Dust in corners. Chips in bathtub that should be repaired. I don’t mind maid service every other day but you can tell as a result, the rooms just aren’t being maintained. The carpet didn’t feel clean enough to walk barefoot on. That’s a gross feeling to need shower shoes and house shoes (not out of habit but because of a feeling).

front desk did not respond to my comments about shower leaking water into bath, Wifi did not function in my room, had to use 5G hot spot to work on laptop

Super location especially if you have a car. The location is on the edge of the walking zone conveniently located to all shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking in the garage if you have a car and its location makes it convenient to get to. The hotel could use an update although perfectly functional. The air conditioning was straining with the heat wave, but it did keep it at a manageable level. The fridge is great to have and one of the reasons I sought it out as my hotel of choice. Breakfast is expensive at 18 Eu and the additional 6 Eu for drinks is also a bit off-putting. Additional pluses for the hotel are the pool and sauna.

Hotel was dated and dirty. I've stayed in many Mercure hotels that are chic and modern, and this felt like a motel. The drain was so clogged it became a tub. The lobby was the level I expected, and the room felt like going to a different location.
