Mainz is very well situated as is the hotel where we stayed. I had deliberately booked a superior room expecting it to be just that. Our room was a good size and nice and quiet. But I have never stayed in an hotel anywhere in the world where I had to make my own bed and wash the cups each day. The room service was very poor. The breakfast buffet was nice and varied but the items which should have been warm ( bacon and scrambled eggs) were not warm at all. Because of the location the hotel should have a lot of repeat bookings but if other travellers had a similar experience I imagine they would be unlikely to return. Sorry to be negative but our stay could have been so much better with only a few small improvements.

Staff were helpful, the room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was a bit crowded and noisy but only to be expected in a busy hotel.

I had a great time staying here. Staff was very friendly and it was close to a train station and very close to the concert venue I went to that night. The bed was comfortable and I liked having a fridge.
