I was allocated room 411, which had just been freshly repainted. The floor was still being worked on, and the paint fumes were overwhelming. It was an absolutely horrible stay due to the strong odour. I developed a headache and throat irritation by the next morning, and I woke up multiple times throughout the night. It should not be permitted to accommodate guests in such a contaminated environment. You may wonder why I didn’t request another room. When I went down to reception, the receptionist was telling newly arrived guests that the hotel was fully booked. This was clearly untrue, because when I mentioned the smell the following morning, another staff member told me that changing rooms would have been possible. Another major disappointment. The breakfast was also unacceptable. There was no buffet; instead, guests are forced to choose between only two options. I selected the continental breakfast, which consisted of just two pieces of toast with butter and jam. This cannot be considered acceptable for a hotel of the Ibis standard. This aspect requires far more than a simple improvement.

Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Styles The Entrance. As Platinum members we were kindly upgraded to a Lake View room. Aaron and Wayne are always so professional and obliging. The face that we have the use of the Diggers Club for both food, drink and entertainment, is a bonus. Isabelle was extremely helpful when we moved in - she is an asset to the team. Thank you again.

We were upgraded to the lake view which was pretty. Staff are so welcoming. Connected to a club for meal convenience. No need to go anywhere once you have checked in.
