Whilst overall the property looks good on the surface, it doesn't take long to see the cracks appearing. Very spacious and reasonable fit out however tiled floors were filthy. Had to wear shoes inside. Apartments are run down, obviously been abused and in need of a massive spring clean or refit or both! Missing basics such as plates etc. Such a disappointment considering the high prices being charged per night. Not value for money.

broken dishwasher no cooking knives (only had one blunt streak knife) holes in the walls light in 2nd bedroom not working bed in main room was sinking (clearly needs to be replaced as it was two singles put together) showerheads old

Staff are very nice and very accommodating. Facilities are great - pool, tennis courts and golf course. Rooms were good but a little worn. Need new armchairs

1. No hot water in the bathroom sink or shower, kitchen sink had hot water. HAD to have cold shower in the morning. 2. no glass to drink water 3, as usual "Discovery" channel did not work

Not maintained and understaffed

The hotel was extremely dated and not very well kept. The pavers were loose and falling apart in the alfresco as well as the paint falling off the walls. The curtains had mould on them and there were cobwebs on the windows. Our room had a musty smell. We were staying there as recommended by others as part of attending a wedding nearby. There was a very large group of other guests that seemed to be part of a sporting team, who congregated in the pool area and vandalised parts of the area. When other residents complained to front of desk, I overheard the staff member say that she couldn’t do much right away as she was the only person there. For such a big resort, that is very surprising. We are a member of your Accor Plus program therefore it was very surprising for us to see the state of the hotel and lack of staff. On a positive note my children loved their time in the pool and the tennis courts. The rooms are a great size with a lovely outlook and I can imagine it would have been a beautiful place to stay 10-15 years ago.

Disappointing, surprised as Mercure stays generally a great experience

My husband and I were very disappointed with our stay at Mercure Kooindah Waters Central Coast. We booked a two night stay and actually ended up checking out after one as we were very unsatisfied with the accommodation. The room was dated, however if it was well kept and in working condition that wouldn't have been an issue for us. The curtain in the bedroom was broken at the end, therefore couldn't completely close. As the bedroom faced the carpark it did not feel comfortable or secure being unable to close window entirely. There were cobwebs in the living area and the kitchen was completely bare, not even a cup or piece of basic cutlery available. Would not recommend to family or friends.

Chose the location for family get together as it was the half way point for majority of people. Rooms were well presented and comfortable.

family of 17 have stayed here for past 6 years reception and cleaning staff excellent service . this year thought the the units were a bit tired and needed an upgrade. unit 303 washing machine not working ,tap on bathtub inoperable . Daughters units 410/310 also had minor problems .

Room was not ready at 2.00 pm. Gym dongle not provided until last day. Room provided was supposed to have a sofa bed but only had one queen bed although to the credit of the staff they upgraded the room to a two bed room apartment.

Good location but not really clean. Inside the villas needs major refurb. Very old and dirty sofas. We were planning to stay there for two nights but we have left as was not really clean. What really impressed us were lovely and supportive staffs.

lovely stay. the room was clean and nice. The beds were comfortable with good pillows. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the pool and restaurant. We had difficultly connecting the wifi which was a pain as my phone reception was terrible inside the room. overall an enjoyable stay.

Very dirty the carpets

The hotel is good, the pool and amenities were great but the overall service was shocking, No cleaning, no internet, no movies and no idea. I complained to staff who did not seem to care at all. I tried to call fro room service and no on could be bothered to answer the phone. I asked about movies and internet and was told the storm has caused them to be offline, Compete rubbish

Terrible service from Karen and the breakfast crew at the resort. We were told off for coming on time to our breakfast and told to sit at the bar and wait 40minutes before being served. We originally booked it for 9:30am because that was the only time they had left for breakfast. When we got to the restaurant, Karen yelled that we were late and our reservation was at 9 so she gave our table away. She then went to say its too late and we would not be served. I then said that we paid for breakfast and would like to eat with my family. She then said go sit at the at the bar and wait. This is the worst service we ever received at an Accor facility. I will not renew our Accor membership after this stay. After months of lockdown how can this terrible person welcome guests to the day after spending thousands on a break. KAREN you should be sacked....
