The resort grounds are beautifully maintained. The hotel staff and the staff in the restaurant were all very nice especially the wait staff were 10/10. The buffet breakfast was great as well as the dinner we had there. Highly recommend Barret's Restaurant. The Lagoon pool is probably the best pool I have ever been in! Absolutely incredible! Lovely temperature and great heights in the pool. Although we were disappointed that the pool bar wasn't open (Last Friday of the summer school holidays) The view from the room was nice over looking the golf course. For staying in a 5 star hotel the room wasn't cleaned very well. There was a layer of mold in the bottom of the water for the espresso machine and the water glass container was dirty. The balcony was dirty and the glass had not been cleaned for a long while. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were horrendously lumpy! Overall the room was more like I would expect from a 3.5 star hotel. I was disappointed in the room . I must say we did not tell the staff our findings. We just made do and did not spend that much time in the room.

I was very excited to come stay at this property, they had beautiful pictures and I had just achieved gold status with the brand. However upon arrival I was hugely disappointed. The room had cob webs with spider eggs on almost every corner. There was also at least 4 big live spiders throughout the room. I called reception to complain and they said they would send someone to fix the problem straight away. It took them almost an hour to arrive. Balcony was very dirty, not even a quick sweep had occurred. There was debris in the sink that we cleaned up. The fly screens were absolutely disgusting, the maintenance person who came to clean the spiderwebs was shocked, he took it out to be pressure cleaned. The floor skirt was visibly damaged near the entrance to the point that some of it had cracked off. This was extremely disappointing for a “5 star hotel”. All these things are issues that guest should not have to see and should be rectified before check in. Carpet and blinds in the rooms are also quite visibly old and dirty, not at all what you would expect from a premium venue. Another small annoyance was that even though we held gold status with the brand all the benefit provided for our loyalty was 30 minutes later check out (11am) and a drink. Shocking when other brands offer 2pm and even 4pm late check outs for loyalty. We asked to see if an upgrade was possible, we were told that nothing was available. Seems to us like loyalty is very easily dismissed compared to other hotel loyalty programs. Only positive note so far, if you can call it that, was that the staff who attended our room to clean it up was very nice and kind. He did mention to us that the cleaning team was understaffed and getting minimum wage. Again, not what I would expect from a Pullman resort. That’s day 1 of our stay, hopefully things improve for the rest of our stay. Update! Final day of our stay and things didn’t get much better, worse! The manager replied to our review and falsely claimed we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom, which was not true! At no point have we received even an apology from anyone following the room incident. Checking out of our STUDIO ROOM Today. Won’t be coming back here anytime soon.

We are nestled between the pristine waters of the Pacific Ocean and Tuggerah Lake and set on 52 acres of natural bushland. As spring is now well and truly with us, we also have an array of local wildlife inhabiting our beautiful space. With this not only comes warmer weather, but some unwanted insects. Our housekeeping team are ever vigilant in ensuring that our guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned; however insects and bugs can find a way in through doors and windows. I would also like to apologise for the confusion, we had two rooms registered to your name. A studio guest room and a Three Bedroom Villa. The Three Bedroom Villa was the room upgraded to the Deluxe The Bedroom Villa and your feedback has been provided registered from Villa 1708. Please know that we did send our Housekeeping Team to room 103 on Monday 23/01/2023 when we received your feedback to address your mentioned concerns. Loyalty is everything to us and I would personally like to apologise if myself or my Team have let you down. During our peak season, we do our best but unfortunately we cannot meet all requests and I can see that we have noted on your profile to meet your requests for future stays which I hope you will allow us the opportunity to welcome you back again. Reception was a little messy - not enough staff at peak check in time and no Priority guest area. Other than that, the rest of the stay and gifts and discounts were fabulous. The Day Spa was also fantastic. Menu at the Barretts was nice.

One of the best resorts in the country. Stayed 2 nights at the 2 bedroom villa. The accommodation was amazing, everything about it. Beautifully appointed rooms, spotlessly cleaned bathroom and plenty of space to keep your stuff. Beautiful living area with a giant TV. There was the occasional insect (spiders, bugs and cockroach), but that comes with the location along with the beautiful birds, flowers, beaches, and sunset. The Restaurant is popular and booking is essential. Breakfast was fantastic and staff were amazing. We used the kids pool and it was clean and well maintained like every inch of this property. Play area for kids and heated pool too. Only a short stroll to Magenta beach, which is secluded and a true getaway from everything. A couple of minutes drive to Pelican's Wharf, a beautiful spot to fish and enjoy the company of the town's most famous residents, the Pelican. Definitely worth the money. Only negative are the cushions and throw that were placed on the beds, they needed a wash. It stank and I removed them as soon as I got on the bed. I put them in the cupboard and closed the doors. It didn't bother me again till I was putting them back before checking-out. I must add that almost all hotel rooms have the same problem. I never use them as they are not washed as regularly as the other linen. Hence it didn't impact my experience at the resort.

Such a beautiful place with view and walking to the private beach. Amazing service from the staff. My 4 year old son literally didn't want to go back home. The pool, the BBQ facilities, the calmness of the area - all we wanted for our little getaway. Thanks to all of you for making our stay great.
