We enjoyed our stay and will be back again. There are however many small improvements that can be made. Cleanliness improvements: - When we arrived at the room, on the backyard patio table there was a makeshift ash tray made from a beer bottle lid. It was filled with cigarette ash. Besides the obvious of this being disgusting, it is evidence that the patio was not properly cleaned. The patio floor was another example, which was covered in sand/dirt and sorely needed a clean. - Fly screens throughout were covered in dust and some had clumps of dust stuck to them - The dryer also was covered in dust on the exterior. When the downlight above it was turned on the dust resembled fur on a dog it was so thick. - Along the entirety of the edge of the lagoon pool, just above the water level and the top of the pool, the blue tiles are covered in a disgusting brown grime/gunk. I assume this is body oil and sunscreen that has accumulated over time. The blue tiles have a brown shade above water level but are crystal blue below. I regrettably scratched the tile with my nail which highlighted how thick the grime is. - Also with the lagoon pool, the paved area surrounding it really needs a daily clean. We used the pool several times, sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon, and regardless of the time of day there were different low lying sections where garden bark, dirt, and sand had accumulated. It was disgusting to step on, which was sometimes unavoidable. Functional improvements: - When the shower glass door in the ensuite swings inwards it hits the wall it is meant to glide past. On the first day when I tried to close the door, I unknowingly used too much force and it felt like the glass almost shattered. - The water seal between the ensuite shower and ensuite toilet leaks water. When going to the toilet after someone has had a shower you end up stepping in a puddle of water. - Both the balcony and patio glass door wheels/rollers are damaged causing the door to not glide easily. I had to use my bodyweight to open and close the door. - The lid of the bin under the sink is meant to stay in place when pulling the bin out, but because it is damaged it instead comes out with the bin. - The front door dead bolt latch is broken off the door. - The left door under the kitchen sink is crooked and doesn't close properly unless force is used to straighten it while closing. - The main bedroom door squeaks loudly when swung. This on a few occasions woke up someone who was sleeping - Having an upstairs balcony with nothing but the floor means the only way to enjoy it is by standing around. It would be great if there were 2 chairs and a small table added.

We were not able to check in until 3:30 because the unit was not ready. I requested a late check out to compensate, as is only reasonable, but was given an emphatic “no” from the front desk staff. Very poor form indeed!

Nice resort and lovely time was had. Great sunset dinner views and minutes to the beach. Just some issues: - landline phones of the resort don’t work inside units and no intention to repair - pool bar/kiosk was closed and had to bring own pool towels.. bird droppings on deck chairs.. lots of leaves inside pool - stressed and overwhelmed staff.. dinner service was patchy tho food was good.. breakfast even worse and it could be seen the older staff was teaching the younger staff.. most staff seemed on edge from the technicians to the wait staff - rules: strict limits on brand of wine for the welcome drinks/size of coffee for the breakfast/check out time even for gold members/a couple of sunny side up eggs at breakfast needed an order from the wait staff to the chef - food standards generally high tho at the breakfast some of the cucumbers, melons, etc look stale and the watermelon juice tasted mixed with something and the chef used his bare hands to pop my mini croissants in n out of the griller Some suggestions: modern classy restaurant aesthetics let down by the fake plants/paper towels in the unit kitchen/cork placemats for the dining table/bluetooth speakers in the living room/buggy service around the resort

One night unplanned stay. Reception friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Resisted a dip in the pool as it looked “Green”. Fine dining restaurant disappointing. Partner’s food dry and side dish forgotten ( compensated with a free beer), a rusty? music speaker hanging over the table. G clamps ( covered in cobwebs) appearing to hold parts of the windows together. Looks like it was once quite a flash place that has gone a bit downhill .
