Accommodation was nice and served the purpose. Being on the golf course was perfect for me. Access to the course from apartment would have bumped my rating higher but wasnt to be. Parking was very tight which getting clubs In and out wasn’t ideal but overall good.

Breakfast: The service overall was below my expectation and or below standards based on similar experiences with other Accor Hotels. Having to request coffee, getting the wrong breakfast order on the table, waiting for the correct breakfast to be serve, no coffee or tea facilities to self serve , waiting for staff at check in to breakfast, not enough staff to deal with increased customers, at breakfast time, etc, etc. Studio room needing cleaning in the kitchen counter, balcony was dirty with debris from trees and dirty balcony floor, the window glass in the balcony had cob webs that it seemed the windows weren’t cleaned in months.! Service at reception was not on par with other similar domestic Accor hotels. I was surprised when my Accor membership was seemed to be not appreciated as Aces not Accor Plus. I requested for my Accor membership number be added to my booking so I could earn points when dining and was given a response of “you’re not getting points for this stay, as I didn’t booked directly with Pullman. I had to explained that I wanted to earn and then redeem points for dining purposes and then was given a conferencing response which was not expected. “ You’re of getting points for your stay”. I was once again having to explain my request was for earning points for Dining purposes. Lack of knowledge was apparent with this reception staff and poor training was evident when it comes to servicing customers needs. I requested fresh towels and my return to the room found the used towels still on the bathroom floor. The room needs also an update as dirty curtains weren’t cleaned or replaced. There was other things in the room that needed maintenance attention but I hope they were already highlighted by other guests. The buffet breakfast was defenitely not satisfactory or on par with other similar hotels and service was really disappointing and staff were not trained to standards of hotel food service. It could be that they were casuals fling out rosters.

We had an alarm constantly going off from 11.30pm till about 2.00am . No one could be contacted. There is no staff on-site which is not usually our experience at a 4 star hotel. The answering service in Queensland could not contact security or anyone else. Not to have some assistance on-site is NOT good enough. We finally thought it may be a smoke detecter alarm and solved the problem by removing the battery. Why aren't these batteries checked regularly?

My wife and I took a trip to Magenta Shores and had a very relaxing time. The course is in immaculate condition and the pro shop was very accommodating. The rooms could probably do with an upgrade, but nothing to complain about. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
