The staff were friendly and the food was exceptional. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the bed (as you could visibly see the indents in the mattress upon arrival) and the standard to which the outside of the rooms were maintained. In the 3-room townhouse that I was in, the carpets up the stairs were stained and there were coffee spills and multiple marks on the staircase walls and other walls. I was also taken aback with the room allocation, as the original room I was assigned was occupied by another guest and it was only after my room key didn't work initially and then the staff activated my key that I walked into a room that was clearly being used. The staff did respond quickly, but there didn't seem to be a level of concern that this had happened. I am just pleased that the person in the occupied room was not in the room at the time I opened the door.

My daughter and family stayed; they enjoyed the stay but were disappointed that, when *I* booked, there was no indication that the restaurant was closed for renovations, that other facilities were unavailable because of renovations. The included golf was, after a discussion with the Management, honoured - but apparently it was no longer available and I had been sent an incorrect email confirming it *was* available. So all this detracted from their enjoyment.
