ibis Styles Niort Poitou Charentes Hotel 3 stars

Okay hotel if you like small, stark rooms with concrete floors but the IBIS website price promised was lower than that charged to my card. I tried to sort it out with the manager in the morning but he didn’t care. Maybe it was my error in not seeing everything you need to on screen when using a mobile to book accommodation but I would not trust this website again and very poor customer service at the front desk in the morning.

Tha hotel is situated near the highway. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free tea and water in the lobby. The room was very clean and pleasant with a pristine bathroom. For those who feel like a glass of wine there is a little bar in the lobby. High quality breakfast.

Access was easy, the room was inviting, the separate toilet was appealing, the bed a good size and the mattress comfortable. We had some questions and the receptionist was charming and helpful. Breakfast was basically good but I was disappointed by the absence of apple mousse which for me is an integral part of IBIS. Otherwise all was fine

The parking arrangements were not especially clear but the young man in the hotel was helpful. The room was very tired - had almost to stand on the loo to close the door which didn’t open fully anyway. Bathroom needed quite a bit of renovation and the shower head could not be manouvered to stay upright - pity because it was a good quality shower head. The mattress topper was just thrown on the bed so the whole thing slipped off with me on it in the night! Not what I was expecting. Breakfast was okay but nothing hot - not even the eggs you boil yourself which are available at most Ibises. To call it ‘Styles’ seemed to mean just a melange of colours and typefaces. It needed a very good deep clean but the bedding was clean and ironed. Must add that it was inexpensive as well. The restaurant next door was exceptionally closed so had to make do with L’Arche which was perfectly satisfactory! All in all certainly won’t rush back.

This stopover is super every summer .V friendly staff great breakfast lots of variety .20% off evening meal next door was a bonus when we arrived that evening .

The welcome was warm and as I had checked in and out on line and was therefore effortless. The room was very cold as the ac had been set very low and so the bed took an age to warm up. The room was clean but the décor shabby. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff brilliant. The only other criticism is that the hotel is on the southbound lane of the A10 and I was traveling north. I believe it was possible to make the crossing via a tunnel, but I missed this and ended adding about another 20km to my journey to get to the hotel. Maybe clearer directional instructions would be helpful?

Stayed here twice now on way home to U.K. from South of France - been just right both times - linked two rooms for family of four - clean comfy rooms and good breakfast - book ahead and good value too

We stayed at this hotel because it was very convenient on our journey. The accommodation was fine, the staff helpful and the breakfast set us up for the rest of our journey

The bed was comfortable, staff welcoming and the food at the restaurant next door was very acceptable and with the discount reasonably priced.

Clean and efficient as always. We use this hotel regularly as it is half way home for us. It's a motorway service stop so don't expect swimming pools and a palm court orchestra, however it is a good budget hotel and the staff are very friendly and one (I think she is the manageress) is English

Simple room,good,easy,free parking. Ok food.

Reception was very good, rooms were clean and tidy. The hotel was very noisy in the morning from 6.45am. It needs better soundproofing.
