Worst night sleep

stayed here 12mths ago (2023) since our last stay the quality and service has declined. I would not stay here again. Had a very uncomfortable sleep as the pillows are very cheap quality, only had a sheet and thin blanket on the bed. I couldn't change the room temperature from 17deg.c. No extra blankets in cupboard. Only one towel per guest. Ordered room service at 10pm and waited 45mins to arrive with cold toast and cold soup. Stayed in the Deluxe King Suite it has a very Basic bathroom with shower over bath. Not suitable for someone with mobility issues or like myself recovering from a fractured pelvis and unable to step over bath.

The room was good and the hotel staff were very good for our two night stay. However, the Goldfinch restaurant experience was very much below my expectation. The Meals were expensive. For the basic buffet breakfast with standard fare at $42PP was over the top. The coffee machine produced poor coffee and attempting to find things was difficult. The Dinner service was poor. We asked to turn the Over head fans down as the evening was getting cool but we simply told to move table as they couldn't turn the fans down. The meal main course was OK but a bit cooler than it should have been as if it had been prepared and left on the bench. At the end of the main course we waited for service but after 15 mins we gave up. In the meantime, the drinks waiter simply grabbed our empty glasses and didn't even ask if wanted anything extra. I mentioned both incidences as we paid but there was no empathy at all. Probably wont eat there again when next in Brisbane.

Room not serviced. Called numerous times to get serviced and told 3 times not sure why not serviced and will get it actioned … no action.. when calling Phone rang out about 7 times. Staff advised management would call and nothing. Very disappointing for a flash hotel. Like no one cared.
