Good stay for a week, central location

Stayed here for over a week and cannot complain. Clean room, good shower, good breakfast. It is easy to walk to the beach, a small mall next door and a bigger mall towards the beach. Plus plenty restaurants around. Only skipped the breakfast once on a Sunday as there was a long line, all the other days there was no wait.

Location: Novotel Santos Stay Details: 25 to 27th October I am a frequent guest of Accor Group hotels, and unfortunately, this stay at the Novotel Santos was a major disappointment, especially considering the 4-star rating and the price paid. From the start, the experience was underwhelming: - Check-in Delay: We were told our room wasn't ready upon arrival, despite being well past the official check-in time. - Outdated Amenities: The TV was very old, not even a Smart TV, which is below the expected standard for a contemporary 4-star hotel. - Maintenance Issues: There were noticeable traces of mold/mildew on the ceiling and around the air conditioning unit (Daikin unit visible in photo) and a hole in the sheer curtain. - Lack of Service: The room was not cleaned or serviced between our two nights, which is unacceptable. I had to request it to the reception. - Missing Supplies: The bathroom was significantly lacking in supplies; many towels and conditioner were missing. - No Recognition: No upgrade was offered, even though it was a special occasion (my birthday weekend), which contributed to the overall feeling of being undervalued. The level of service and the condition of the room were not in line with the usual high standard I expect from the Novotel brand and the Accor Group. It was a big letdown, especially for a special occasion. I will not be returning to this specific location.
