The good ; Excellent location - 5 minute easy, flat walk into the pedestrian zone of lovely Bourg-en-Bresse Staff very nice Rooms very clean Beds very comfortable Breakfast very good Free safe car park The not so good ; It's an old hotel, it's dated so .....

The room we were given on the 2nd floor was very small. We complained and we were given a larger room on the 3rd floor. Both rooms had very small bathrooms compared to the usual size and layout of other Ibis hotel. Everything is a bit run down, the hotel is in need of an urgent upgrade and renovation. Staff was helpful. The location of the hotel is good, close to the centre of town and best restaurants.

A friendly welcome, but the hotel was far below the standard we’ve come to expect from ibis styles. Large stains on the bedroom carpet, severe limescale in the shower and toilet, broken mirror, broken window lock, chipped paintwork, coffee stains on bathroom doors and walls…. The bathroom was so small that we could barely move…. Fortunately the bed was comfortable. If this was the first ibis hotel I had stayed in, I would never have used them again. An appalling experience. Very dissatisfied.

The hotel is in a good location for walking into Bourg. The man at check in was helpful and efficient and our room was ready and clean. The hotel itself is incredibly dated and in need of a massive upgrade. It is not like any other Ibis Styles I have ever stayed in. But the price of the room reflected this. Breakfast was lovely and we literally slept in our room and enjoyed what Bourg had to offer, but I do think this hotel needs an update, but the price was fair for the hotel.
