Stayed here a few times before - love its location near the South Bank and also near Southwark Station for the Jubilee line and also Blackfriars tube. Staff are always friendly, the bar/restaurant it atmospehric in the evenings and rooms clean and quiet. This stay was significantly more expensive than previous ones (close to Christmas and the hotel was busy) - the room was also not the best layout wise I've had, being on the top floor was great but the table/hanging rail/shelves for kettle were pushed in a nook of the room which felt a bit cramped, then there was a lot of unused space elsewhere; other rooms I've been on have been better - but this was fine for 2 nights stay.

You have everything you need in the room ... But the decor is (to me) really odd - sort of temporary. But, no denying it: I always seem to sleep so well in this hotel! The breakfast is OK - but basic. Nothing to write home about. All the staff I've met here have been helpful, enthusiastic, charming.

Our stay was first class in every way, hotel was spotless, room was the same and the staff were 10 out of 10, very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, we had an evening meal in the restaurant in the first night, the food was beautiful and it was the same in the morning for the breakfast.

My flight landed at 6 am. So, I booked a room for 3 nights and paid for the night before I landed as I didn't want to hang about in the lobby tired and sweaty after a 24-hour flight. I checked in using your app. However, upon arriving at the hotel they cancelled my booking and blamed me for not showing up the day before. I had already paid. The person on the front desk kept running to the office to speak to the manager who couldn't be bothered to come out and talk to me. In the end I got a room, but they wanted to charge me again even though I had already paid in advance. Not what I needed after a long and tiring flight.
