We had a wonderful stay at the hotel until the final day. Unfortunately both of us came down with a stomach bug. My suspicion is that this was picked up in your resort as we only left the resort to swim in the sea. Maybe your cleaning regime in shared spaces could be improved - door handles etc.

As per our previous stay we had a magnificent holiday at the Arcadia. It's nestled above the naithon beach so you have amazing views of the sea and beach from the seaview room we were in with incredible sunsets every evening. People like the beach to take photographs every night. You are greeted with cooling towels and an amazing fresh tonic and then escorted to your room. The room has everything you need with espresso pods for coffee, complimentary bottled water on abundance and teabags as well. The pools are amazing so if you cannot be bothered to walk a few metres down the steps to the beach then they are a lovely cooling option. Happy 'hour' at a couple of the bars operated from 16…hrs and gave 50% off a selection of drinks from soft to cocktails. The two restaurants are off good quality but obviously expensive compared to the local restaurants but offer a vast step up in quality. Room service is always prompt and of good quality. Iced water is available all day and staff provide top ups throughout the day if you are on the sunbeds. The breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and the range, quality and location in the echoes restaurant is unbelievable. A multitude of fruits, salads, cheeses, meat, cereals, seeds , yogurts, pastries, waffles, pancakes, eggs done to order of whatever type you wish. Full range of fried rice, noodles, meat dishes, steamed buns. Dumplings, ramen with loads of choices from duck, char siu pork etc various artisan breads for toasting and spreads, compotes, several types of honey, doughnuts. Crispy and back bacon, hash browns etc etc. The list could go on and the freshly made iced latte coffee was lush. There's also a juicer bar where you can pick your own choice of fruit and veg and spices like fresh ginger and they will then juice then for a wholesome drink, amazing. I honestly cannot do it justice and that meal kept us sustained until the evening where we still only needed a small dish from one of the local restaurants. The local restaurants all offer the fairly standard Thailand dishes at reasonable prices though I have noticed an increase over the last couple of years of about 30% ... Still very reasonable though. Beach is beautiful and unspoilt. I have noticed that sunbeds are building up along the treeline and hope they do not start encroaching on the beach like they are at more commercialised beaches on Phuket. The sea is beautiful and warm and clear. My only very minor disappointment was that we got offered a complimentary 30 minute massage each on our last visit but not this one but would not let that deter us from visiting again. Phuket is fabulous for a bit of winter sun and with this lovely hotel only being a 15 minute transfer from the airport it is our favourite after visiting other resorts such as Karon beach and Khao lake. Already missing it after being back one day so well done to the managers and staff for making the place very special and we look forward to visiting again.

Lovely hotel etc etc. Spoilt by the horrible dirty stream that runs into the sea. The sea becomes discoloured in the area where the stream enters the sea...
