Although a lovely location the hotel does need a major redecorative overhaul and a cleanliness upgrade. The common area bathrooms especially near the pool area, were dirty and smelly. The sun loungers provided are far too few for the number of guests in such a large property. The common areas were shabby and do need a refurb. the rooms were ok, the shower was awful, with the shower just hanging from the hook if the power of the water was too much. After one person had a shower the hot water was not enough for the second person. We paid £150 for the NYE gala dinner only to be told no drinks were included! The food was superb but after paying an exorbitant sum like that you would think drinks would have been included. There does need to be more staff to look after the guests needs

Horrible hotel service, not accommodating. made us change rooms multiple times in our 5 days stay, while i was pregnant. Told them we are here for babymoon and still made us pack/ unpack our things several times in the hopes of giving a better room. But the 'Better room" was worse, the AC wasnt working and view was completely blocked by the palm trees- dont go for the higher floors. Had told the staff to help us with our luggage and no one came until we had to call again. The cleaning lady was not nice- very grumpy and felt like she hated her job. The staff in general were cold, and NOT accommodating and inexperienced. They don't know how to handle customers or special situations. The only helpful and nice staff was the restaurant manager, Top. He was very accomodating, helped us with breakfast requirements and even took our photos to help us. He went out of his way to make our stay good. He was the only reason we gave a better rating for the hotel otherwise everything else was bad. The other good thing about the hotel is the convenience of beach location- its right outside the hotel which was nice. Walk ahead and maybe u can get a nicer meal at Intercontinental hotel/ local shops instead. The pool area was so small and always reserved by people with their belongings- even though you can't do that. We could never get a nice seat by the pool because of this and the staff didnt do anything to help with it. The beachside pool food was overpriced, not fresh and didnt taste good. dont waste your money on this. Bring your own food/ order from outside if u must. The entrance of the hotel/ and lobby isnt very attractive. though its not a big problem, we were expecting more for the amount of money we spent. If you are spending a good amount of money on a hotel- dont come for this one. NOT WORTH IT.

Novotel Hotel is perfect for vacation i loved my stay at this hotel with the good service,perfect sunset and beachfront view . I really appreciate the boy from breakfast shuyyaa he was extremely friendly and helpful towards us. Big thanks to him. and i recommend everyone to visit this hotel for your vacation

My partner and I tagged this hotel on to the end of a 5 week SE Asia trip over Xmas & New Year through to early January. Whilst the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful it's the worst of 7 hotels during our trip despite being on a par for cost when compared to hotels owned by smaller groups in Phuket. 1. We were allocated a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking a car park which is small and functional but poor outlook .This also means a longer walk to the hotel amenities. 2. The hotel is full of young families and a pool full of noisy kids with inflatables. There is no option for escape unless you use the beach but there ard no beds outside the pool. 3. A couple of beers were double the price paid at 5 star beach front hotel that we had just left with pool staff service. I guess you could wait for happy hour ! 4.The location at the far end of the beach makes it less accessible for town at night as there is no direct path for a couple of hundred yards if you prefer to walk. Overall , we made a mistake in choosing this hotel for us , it is the polar opposite to the rest of our experience. If you want kid friendly , busy pool areas and lounger areas it will be right up your street. If not there are more adult centric options outside of Kamala that offer much higher standards of amenity , personal service and value without paying anymore.
