The room provided was very dirty, carpets were not vacuumed, all chairs were dirty clearly not cleaned after previous guests, bathroom mirror was smudging with cream and handles were full of dust and hair. I felt like after the previous guests they only changed the sheets and quickly cleaned the bathroom nothing else. Do not recommend to stay there

This Novotel is one short train stop away from Schiphol (where the station is right underneath the terminal). It’s just a few minutes safe walk from Hoofdoorp station to the Novotell, which is located in a modern business precinct. We found all the hotel staff were super friendly, even allowing us to drop our suitcases off a few days before our stay right after Xmas. Check-in and out was all straightforward, and the restaurant/bar staff helpful and friendly. The lobby/restaurant area is very open and spacious and there is a small self-service shop for essentials. The room was comfortable, and pleasingly has both a coffee machine and kettle. But if you are a tea drinker then beware they only have espresso cups in the room. So tiny cups of tea are the order of the day (and there’s no UHT milk available). One other thing to know, you’ll also need to have Euro1 if you want to use the hotel luggage scales (but they are easily available and free at the airport). Just beware of the station access if you have suitcases - as there are separate entrances for the stairs and lift! Thanks Novotel for another great stay.
