We had a wonderful stay in Bangkok! Mr. Teddy and Sol at the front desk were incredibly welcoming and greeted us with genuine warmth. They kindly arranged an early check-in for us since we arrived early in the morning, which allowed us to get the much-needed rest to start our day. This marks my 9th stay at SO/ Bangkok over the past three years, and despite the many hotels I’ve experienced, SO/ Bangkok consistently remains one of my top choices for a refined weekend escape. From the moment I step inside, the warm, polished welcome from the staff—paired with their iconic and uniquely designed uniforms—instantly sets the tone. For this visit, I indulged in a stay within one of the hotel’s elegantly designed Earth-themed suites. Styled in deep, sophisticated shades of blue, the room features exquisite Thai mythical creature motifs and uniquely crafted curtains that bring a touch of cultural artistry to the space. The suite’s sweeping panoramic views of Lumpini Park and the vibrant city skyline. At the Club Lounge, the female staff consistently impressed me with their genuinely bright smiles, attentive service, and effortless hospitality. The afternoon tea and evening cocktail offerings were pleasant, though not particularly standout; however, the breakfast at the Lounge continues to be one of my personal highlights. The fish steak and the Wagyu beef burger. I am especially delighted to see SO/ Bangkok awarded the Michelin One Key Thailand 2024–2025. In my view, every aspect of this property—its design, service, atmosphere, and distinct identity—truly embodies the level of excellence worthy of such recognition. I will be returning again very soon.

SO/ Bangkok – A Perfect Way to Celebrate My 60th Birthday

I celebrated my 60th birthday at SO/ Bangkok with my sister, and the entire experience was truly memorable. We were lucky to receive an upgrade to the 27th floor, which made our stay even more special. From start to finish, everything was exceptional—the food @ Red Oven, the staff, and especially the Club Signature lounge. The service was warm and attentive, and I particularly enjoyed the delightful Australian red wine they served. A wonderful stay and a perfect birthday celebration. Highly recommended!

This was the last night of a two week Vietnam and Thailand holiday. As a Gold Accor member I stayed in their hotels throughout. Sadly this was the worst hotel of my trip. I have been many times in Bangkok but first time at SO. Check in was chaos. They had closed the normal check in due to a private party and therefore carried out check in around the downstairs lobby. They couldn’t cope, we waited over 1/2 hour before being seen. Eventually completed documentation and told room would be ready after 3pm. Asked why no early check in due to status. Waited another ten minutes and they found a room. Absolutely no recognition of Accor status. Room was so basic and desperately in need of a refurbishment. Very old and worn, really showed its age. Toilet seat broken and just tatty in general - nothing like I expect from a 5* Bangkok hotel. Had a drink in the bar which was nice enough. Staff throughout very friendly. Up early due to flight and only one towel in bathroom. If you are looking for a good 5* hotel in this wonderful city I would not select SO. They really have a lot of work to do to achieve the standard required. Such a shame but I won’t be returning.
