All-in-one resort but Wi-Fi connectivity lacking

This was our 3rd stay at one of the resorts in Busselton West so we had some idea of what to expect. Decided on the Sebel as this was our 1st trip post-Covid so was willing to splurge a bit for nicer accommodations. The place was easy to find and check-in was very fast. Found our 3 room bungalow easily and as it was a weekday stretch while we were there, it wasn't noisy or crowded. The place was large & spacious, with enough room for 4 of us. A bonus was the private outdoor back patio with gas grill, which we made use of several times to cook. The loft bedroom was also comfortable, and the bathrooms had skylights which allowed light in during the day, without the need to switch on the electrical lights. The main downside of our stay was the poor W-Fi connection with the hotel's network. The connection kept dropping and our own mobile data (Vodafone) also had poor reception within the hotel grounds. We told the reception on the morning of the 2nd day we were there and they said they would get the network provider to look into it, but when we came back that evening it still wasn't sorted. Went back to the reception on the 3rd day and they finally let us have a mobile router which used Optus, and that was much more stable and reliable. But that was our last night there, so we only had internet effectively for 1 day of our 3 day stay. They should have offered the use of the router once we found that we had problems.

It was only a four day stay and it was a lovely apartment, well appointed but some little things like the air conditioner leaked onto the carpet, it had a loud ticking noise if it was on the swing cycle, the dishwasher leaked everywhere and the surfaces in every room hadn't been cleaned - bench tops, tables, coffee tables, side tables, bathroom shower screens - almost everything looked like it needed a clean.

Although this resort may seem a little old and tired, the overall resort facilities and rooms are really well set up and well maintained. Huge rooms, big bathrooms, 2 massive pools, squash courts and right on the beach. Shops and a bar next door, so everything you need is right on your doorstep.

It was a good getaway. Perfect location love how close it was too the beach and restaurant. The pools were lovely but unfortunately our Air con didn’t work it would turn on and pump out air for roughly 2 minutes then just stop when the vents were still open. Notified staff of it on departure as the contact number for after hours didn’t pick up when I dialled and they just said thanks for letting us know. Just a bummer it was really hot and we couldn’t have access to cool aircon when we were in the room, especially when it is on the room description and included in our cost of stay. Overall nice stay though we thoroughly enjoyed it, just wish we had working aircon would’ve made our stay a lot more comfortable and Cooler, especially in hot summer days/nights. Thankyou Danielle
