Our Basalt Restaurant & Bar is open for dinner 5 nights per week, Tuesday to Saturday from 5.30pm, with last orders by 8.30pm The seasonally changing menu includes the finest local produce from the South West and our attentive service is second to none.

The service was excellent but the room was not what I expected from a Mantra, the shower was extremely small, the kitchen bar was too small and the access stairwell to my room is a trip hazard waiting to happen

Positives: The reception staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, which made for a great first impression. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. Negatives: The room lighting was not ideal, as it only had very bright overhead lights with no softer options—I had to request a bedside lamp for a more comfortable ambiance. The TV channel selection was also quite limited with dismal choices and screen clarity. Additionally, the poolside room was disappointing and not somewhere I would choose to stay again. It was fully undercover, which meant there was no fresh air, even with the window open. The space felt enclosed and not particularly pleasant.
