Think twice about going again. It seems when we go back everytime gets a little worse.

Dear Corey, I must admit it is a little upsetting to read your comments without mention of the efforts made by our reception team to improve your stay. After you advised that you were not happy with the room originally booked, our team arranged an upgrade to a room worth approximately double the value of your original booking in order to ensure you were more comfortable. Our staff worked hard to assist, and we were pleased to be able to offer that solution at the time. That said, we do take the issues you raised seriously. The concerns regarding the lawns growing through the decking, the doors not functioning correctly, the spa being unavailable for several days, and the delayed opening of the pool are certainly not the standard we aim to deliver. Your comments about the overall presentation and attention to detail have been shared with the relevant departments so these matters can be reviewed and addressed. One colleague had no working fridge was offered a different room at the opposite end of the complex, the bathroom was mouldy and the shower leaked. At night the man next door had his tv loud and was on a phone talking loudly from 12midnight until 2am. Asked the night manager at 1am to ask him to be quiet but assume he didn’t as he was noisy all night. Rang back to follow up but had no answer and as sent 3 text messages.

The supposed King size bed was 2x Single beds pushed together, where one mattress was warped & leaned to the centre seam and the second mattress coils were so old / used that you hit the bottom when sitting on it. The room's carpet had been worn down in the normal walking path in the room to the point it looked wet. The ledges, window sills, wall moldings, and foot boards all had heavy layer of dust. There were spiders and webs around the room's windows. Having been a Hotel Manager in a previous career, this was by far the bottom rated room I have ever stayed in my adult life.

I am very sorry to read about the condition of the room and that it did not meet your expectations. This is certainly not the standard we aim to provide for our guests, and I apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience caused. Regarding the bedding, our king beds are configured using two king single mattresses, which is a common hotel practice to allow flexibility in room setup. However, the condition you have described with the mattresses is concerning and will be raised with our housekeeping and maintenance teams so the bed can be inspected and replaced if necessary. I am also disappointed to hear about the condition of the carpet, the dust you encountered on various surfaces, and the presence of spiders and webs around the windows. Our rooms are scheduled for regular cleaning and inspection, and clearly on this occasion the room did not meet our usual standards. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping team so that we can review our procedures and ensure greater attention to detail moving forward. We genuinely appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, and I apologise that your experience with us fell short, particularly given your background in hotel management.
