Unfortunately our stay wasn’t very enjoyable as the hotel walls are paper thin. We had guests behind us that arrived home at midnight, they carried on until 6AM in the morning. We contacted the after hours number to lodge a noise complaint, the man who answered sounded like we had disturbed him. He said he would tend to the issue and he knew which room it was. Unfortunately nothing seemed to happen and the disturbance continued. What was supposed to be a relaxing stay was everything but.

We understand how disappointing this would have been, especially when you were looking forward to a relaxing getaway. We also apologise that you felt your concerns were not resolved after contacting our after hours service. Following your call, our After Hours Guest Services Attendant attended the area and remained there for some time, however no loud noise could be heard at that stage. As the lights in the neighbouring accommodation were off and there was no further disturbance while he was present, he did not feel it was appropriate to knock on the door at that hour. There were also no further calls received regarding the noise for the remainder of the night. We are sorry that this left you feeling unsupported. I have stayed at this accommodation multiple times over the years and have never had an issue.. ever! Until now. This was the only accommodation on a 16 night venture across the South West that could not check us into our room on time, let alone early. Having arrived in Busselton earlier than anticipated, I visited reception and completed all the necessary paperwork alerting them that we were keen to check in as soon as possible. I appreciate that not every place can accommodate an early check in… but with over an hours notice that the guest had arrived, you would think that THAT guests room would become a priority for housekeeping. There was no offer of using the resort whilst waiting, but having stayed there many times before, I knew what was available to use from reception and requested to use it. An offer would have been appreciated and one would suggest, basic customer service. With multiple villas seeming “vacant” I’m not quite sure what the issue was with getting us into a room. When reporting back to reception at 3.15pm (having not received a phonecall, as promised, to let me know our room was ready), I was informed, our room was NOT ready. We were meeting friends there. I requested we be “near” each other, but advised reception when I arrived this was not a “must”. At check in, I was advised my friend’s room was ready, but mine was not. My friends had not even arrived in Busselton yet. The lady beside me checking in, had her room upgraded. I’m not sure why this wasn’t an option for me, who was trying to check in and being told my room wasn’t ready, past check in time. In the end, we were given my friend’s room and told “hopefully a room will be ready for them by the time they get here” We got into the room and the floors were soaking wet. The bathroom was even worse. I had placed a bag on the ground and the bottom of the bag was wet… not happy. All the windows were closed, no air conditioning on… no way the floors would dry quickly given how wet they were. I turned the air con/heater on and waited until the floors had somewhat dried out before being able to actually use the room. I usually travel with more family members, so used to stay in the 3 bedroom villa. This was my first stay in an executive suite. How can you not have a bedside lamp in a room? Once the kids had gone to sleep, even the main lights dimmed down were too bright to leave on. There was also no wooden spoon in the kitchen. Cooking had to be done with a plastic egg flip. Overall, what was one of my favourite places to stay is now a place I will not return to and not a place I will recommend to others.
