Disappointing

After having stayed at the resort 5 years ago, we were excited to return for our first child-free break in some time. Unfortunately, it seems that whilst 5 star prices have continued to be charged, the property is lacking in maintenance and service. Our room was frequently full of ants and I woke on multiple mornings covered in bites. The staff appear to be new or not educated on the level of service required at a 5 star resort. At the restaurant, we had to follow up with staff on multiple occassions to get served and our drinks order was completely forgotten. The butter chicken was poor and bland, however the fish of the day and beef cheek was good. At breakfast, we had to seek out staff to order a coffee, it was not once offered. Overall, it was a disappointing stay and we won't be back.

Great Stay, really enjoyed our time at Bunker Bay. Power Cut on the second day was not so great, as power was off for most of the day and came on just as it was getting dark. Fridge items were an issue but kitchen staff willingly put our Simmos Ice Cream Cake (for my daughters 30th Birthday) in their Freezer so that was good. Other Side of the Moon Restaurant booked for our daughters Birthday, was not that great. For the price we paid, we expected it to be a little more elevated as we have always loved dining there in the past. Love the Resort though :)

Great location, food but poor room service

I took my 84 year old Mum to Bunkers Bay for 4 nights for her birthday as she loves the location. The Fijian staff were lovely. The food was great. However the housekeeping was poor - we arrived to find dead bugs in Mum's bedsheets, near empty tea/coffee supplies, empty tissue boxes and leaves on the floors. Bedsheets were changed by the porter at 930 pm as housekeeping was not available. For the next 2 days we had no daily housekeeping, I had to ask 3 times to get this service mid afternoon on 3 day when we had run out of clean towels and sand on the floor. The housekeeping staff were lovely, just very busy, and I do not think given enough time to deal with the servicing of the rooms properly.
