Nice location and very friendly staff. Special mention for the mulled wine as welcome drink. We were in a 2 bedroom villa, which is very nice and spacey. One thing though, we were disappointed that there is no free TV streaming apps available of the free view channels (SBS,ABC,9Now...). We also didn't realise beforehand there were renovations going on in the restaurant and the space was closed off due to the floor was just polished (the first night). Used the pool which has a fantastic outlook. Missed a sauna or hot tub in the pool area, this would be sensational for hotel guests in cooler months.

Overall, I was a little disappointed with our stay at Pullman Bunker Bay. The resort is in a spectacular location, but the overall experience fell short because of the small details that make a difference at a five-star property. The wait staff were warm, kind, and friendly, which we really appreciated. However, the construction work around the main reception, bar, and restaurant significantly impacted the atmosphere. We were also woken every morning from around 6:00 am by trucks and bin collections, which made it difficult to enjoy a relaxing stay. In addition, we were left waiting unattended at the spa on two separate occasions and eventually had to go to reception to find someone to assist us. While none of these issues were major on their own, together they detracted from what we expected to be a premium resort experience. Given the five-star rating and price point, these shortcomings were disappointing. The location is beautiful, but the overall experience did not live up to the standard we were expecting.

The overall experience was acceptable and the staff were helpful. However, the cleanliness of my unit (317) was somewhat lacking and the unit itself is dated and in need of refurbishment. The entire facility would benefit from an upgrade. The restaurant also needs attention. The food was fine but the pricing is high for the quality on offer and compares poorly with the nearby Ilma cafe on both quality and service. Finally, where breakfast is included in the booking (at a fee), it is not acceptable that barista coffee does not form part of the offering, particularly when a single shot espresso costs $7 extra.
