While me and my partner were really looking forward to our stay, noting the 5 star rating - our experience was sadly far from our expectations. The reception upon arrival were friendly and luckily our room was ready an hour prior to check in, but this is perhaps where the positives ended. One of the reasons for booking our stay was the heated pool, which although heated, was still much too cold to swim. We attempted and lasted about 5 mins, and should’ve known given there wasn’t another soul swimming. The most noteworthy disappointed of our stay was the responsiveness of housekeeping. On the first occasion, I myself cut my leg and requested bandaids which took 45 mins to be received. Secondly, the pillows which were provided were extremely “tall and high” and uncomfortable with poor neck support. After a poor nights sleep, my partner called housekeeping on the Sunday morning to request less dense pillows to try get some shut eye, however the request took 2 hours + to be fulfilled. Overall, unfortunately our stay just did not live up to the expectations one would have a for a 5 star resort with such a steep price tag.

Very good except when we ordered in room service. A simple pizza and chips. Very poor standard, particularly the chips. As they were cold and soggy, I rang the kitchen to complain. They quickly offered to provide a fresh, hot batch which I accepted. Unfortunately, the “fresh” batch was almost as bad. Surprisingly, when booking out I was charged for both. It was quickly and pleasantly sorted but still not appropriate for a Pullman resort.

Very enjoyable stay, we had a lake view room which was lovely and the amenities were all well thought out. Staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious.

Once again Pullman gave us a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

We were put into a Villa (217) that was so accessible for us to use the main building for breakfast and dinner. Our room was cleaned, towels changed and bed made each day. The overall appointments in the room were well maintained and easy to use. Our only complaint was the dinner on Wednesday night was not of the usual standard that we have had at Bunker Bay. The food was bland and served quite cold, we only ate there the one time this visit. Breakfasts were very good with a large selection at the buffet, well cooked and presented. The Reception and Wait Staff were excellent, very helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble.

My daughter and I stayed at the Pullman Bunker Bay to celebrate her 30th Birthday. We have stayed several times at this resort and have enjoyed the stays. The accommodation is lovely and clean and we love the location. Unfortunately this time the stay was greatly let down by the lack of food. We booked days prior for a celebration dinner and upon attending found the menu lacking. We were advised a number of items on the menu weren’t available as they had run out and there were no desserts. The waitress said we should have come earlier as there was a lot more available, but when I booked as I said days earlier I was advised there was only 6.15pm or 7.30pm available. Sadly I chose 7.30pm. There were quite a lot of walk ins and I was concerned we might not even get a table as it appeared they may not have even reserved our table. The restaurant was quite full as the resort was quite full that weekend. This of course is wonderful for the resort and it would have been hoped they would cater for that. I understand Covid has had a big impact on businesses and am sympathetic towards them. I would have been happier if they were up front and advised prior there may be issues so we could have made other arrangements. It’s quite disappointing and I doubt my daughter will ever stay there again. Staff though tried their best in light of all the complaints they were receiving. There were numerous complaints being made about the lack of food and meals coming out cold after people waiting an hour for them to arrive. Our waitress tried her best and after me complaining and saying this is not directly targeted at you, it is quite disappointing. I’m sure she felt bad and with this she and another staff member made a birthday desert for myself and my daughter to enjoy. After a disappointing evening this was greatly appreciated. Even the breakfasts lacked food choices and once items ran out there were no replacements. I don’t usually complain, but it’s a shame such a beautiful resort can be let down by really such a small thing but can have such a big impact. Thank you for listening.

Always enjoy our stay at Bunker Bay and shared the experience with other friends who are also now keen to return. Staff, service, food all excellent and a minor problem in the room was fixed straight away. Staff are always very accommodating and friendly and do their best to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. No concierge No one showed us to our room Lovely hand written note in our room Light bulb blown in bathroom Laminate peeling on cabinetry looking tired All night could hear rodents scratching behind the wall Reception staff friendly Bar staff unknowlwgable, Wine menu did not have vintage year listed, had to ask, staff did not know Breakfast was excellent In comparing yo what I get at other resorts gor this price range I’m sorry to say it wasn’t good value for money.

I had booked a villa room and very kindly the Pullman upgrade me and my partner to a Lake view room for free. However, the free upgrades were not the best part of this escape. The staff were polite, professional and very approachable. I have nothing but kind words to say about our stay at the Pullman. The room was clean and absolutely beautiful. Everything you could want they provided your with. I was so impressed with the luxurious bath! The breakfast was also a key highlight with amazing food which was complimented with the breath taking view! I hope to one day return as it was such a lovely experience that we won’t forget and are so thankful.

We stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary. Surprised to find a bottle of sparkling wine in our fridge and a lovely thoughtful card . It really made us feel welcome. All staff lovely and welcoming. They are very busy but still happy to make you feel welcome.

The stay was good with good location and food was also good in the restaurant. The service level was not so good during check-in. Our booking details were not there but was later sorted. We were not offered Accor member benefits until asked specifically like welcome drink, 50% discount on food etc. Roll away bed was provided after asking for it, however we requested the same at the time of booking. We borrowed tennis rackets but we were given broken rackets.

All safe cards were not in the rooms. The soup plates are too large to allow the dishwasher to work. Some light fittings did not work and the advertised laundry facilities are only available in 2 bedroom units

We travelled on a deal through Luxury Escapes so we got a pretty good price. What have never experienced before on other packages is being treated somewhat like the poor relations. The units are all semidetached. We were in a studio apartment with a two bed next door. There is a connecting door to create suite. The apartment next door was occupied by people with an infant and although not overly disruptive, we could hear the baby crying in the early hours of the morning. Our studio apartment was in fact a disabled facility. This would be entirely ideal for a persons of special need but for us, it lacked the luxury of a supposed 5 star resort. Especially the bathroom, which was spacious by design but more like a hospital than a resort. For all the space there was, there was no vanity unit expect for a tiny mobile unit tucked behind the door. The lighting was terrible and the blinds were broken. We were not advised that we were being accommodated in the disabled room. In the restaurant and terrace area we enjoyed the view and the food but the wait service was very disappointing. In particular staff seemed very disorganised when it came to drink delivery and on more than one occasion we were overlooked when our drinks came out and on our anniversary night, our dessert wines were delivered to another table and stayed there. When we queried this, the waiter told us, we’d had our wine. It took a moment for him to understand we hadn’t. There was no sincere concern for this mistake. Breakfast the next morning was chaotic, queuing and waiting for the maître de to register guests then show them to their tables. We felt this was unnecessary and if this was their policy they should have another staff member to assist when there are twenty people waiting to be seated. The beach is stunning, the area is worth visiting but I wouldn’t bother with Pullman Bunker Bay Resort again. We really felt that we were treated as second class guests and this resort certainly doesn’t live up to its star rating.

Our team certainly do not set out to allow guests to feel this way with the service shortcomings to be acknowledged by our leaders in the respective areas to further coach and develop out team. Not all villas are inter-connecting with many villas being stand-alone. Within the restaurant we escort guests to tables that have been sanitised and cleaned and as guests can walk-in and not book in advance their breakfast, at times there may be slight que however our team will always endeavor to assist as quickly as possible to seat guests. Please trust that we are preparing to replace the Terrace table tops imminently and will ensure the villa shortcomings are attended to. Being in a National Park ants do emerge and become active upon change of season/weather and our registered pest controller has done all that we can to ensure we are proactive in this space.
