When checking in we were told we all 3 mornings could only have our breakfast at 7 or 10 am - booked and paid for months agoThis was of course not satisfactory and after a lot of complaints we got it changed to 8 am. The breakfast was good. There really should not be any fixed time for breakfast! Room was nice with good kitchen facilities and big large sower.,but the cleaning was a bit hit and miss, and dirty towels and dirty bathroom mat and left on floor to be changed were just hung up! We had made a reservation for dinner a week in advance which was confirmed by email. However, we were meg at restaurant “oh, we have you only booked for tomorrow”. But we got a table but it really gave a bad start. We took the fish days and fish was cooked nicely but the rest was rather bland. The bottle of wine was not very tasty but very expensive to what we got.

The hotel appeared to be understaffed for the number of guests, bar staff appeared to struggle with the drink orders & making cocktails. Our first night we ordered a room service meal, which was delivered in cardboard boxes, approximately 20min passed designated time one meal was uneatable & returned. The fish & chips were cold & oily. The salad & fish were eaten cold after the batter was removed, in our opinion the meal were prepared on time but weren't delivered on time. Both the room service meals were refunded. I understand & appreciate the need to be aware of the environment, however in a quality resort I didn't expect a meal to be served in cardboard. The self contained room was shabby & dated, doors & draws didn't close & sliding door on the wardrobe wouldn't move, the bedside lamp didn't work, no USB ports for charging. We requested the room be made up, the bed was made however the kitchen area wasn't touched, the ice bucket was left in the room which we returned to the bar, the timber floor was sticky all in all it felt grubby. Breakfast was a good selection, great idea to have eggs to order however staffing levels made it almost impossible to order. Every morning the salt shaker's were empty and we to ask for a full one. One morning the maitre d had to fill salt & pepper shakers between seating dinners. Used plates left to pile up on the table again staffing issues. My husband did speak to a lady on the reception desk about our concerns and her response was " we are at capacity" We had, already had a couple of night in the Duxton Hotel in Perth which was exceptional, and were looking forward to our three nights at Pullman Bunker Bay, there was a vast difference in the service, and overall standards. Unfortunately Pullman Hotel you have a long way to catch up. We are very disappointed with our stay, I can't say I would book or recommend a Pullman hotel.
