Great resort to relax in, our room ( a 1 bedroom lake view) was excellent, could not ask for anything better, very clean and comfortable, only a very short walk to the beach and restaurant, pool and other services.

It is our second time that we have stayed at the Pullman Bunker Bay. This time we booked through Luxury Escapes, not through Accor even though we are diamond Accor members. The Luxury Escapes package included breakfast each day, a drink each night from the bar and a one time 2 course meal at the restaurant. The breakfast each day was a little hectic and the staff seemed to be not able to keep up with the buffet items. The Juicer was a huge problem as kept getting blocked (possibly due to cleaning?). The coffee was dreadful - barista coffee not included. The drink from the bar was adequate but for my husband who doesn't drink alcohol, pre mix soft drink is poor. The meal at the restaurant was poor, The two course meal was to be chosen from a set menu. Our entree arrived after a wait of about 30 minutes. It was lovely. It then took over an hour from then to receive our main courses which arrived cold and were disappointing. The room itself was however lovely and spacious which was good.

We are also reviewing our breakfast operations, including the maintenance of the juicer and our non-alcoholic beverage variety, to ensure a better experience for our guests. We left with an overwhelming sense that this should not be marketed as a 5 star resort; 3.5 to 4 stars, which would be generous, would be more appropriate. The resort was understaffed in all departments, leading to long wait times at reception, dinner service and room cleaning. Whilst it is an attractive property with nice features (beach access, large pool), these alone do not make a 5 star resort in my opinion.

Very bad service. Waited about 2hrs to receive our drinks and dinner. Waited in a long queue to be seated for breakfast. Breakfast inside had full sun. Outside was a little better but still exposed to sun. Why, no shade sails? Breakfast, very slow to refill dishes. Long wait for porters with golf cart, about 30 minutes.
