The hotel is very well located and we found our room (905) comfortable, especially as it had air-conditioning during some very hot weather. The main negative was the lack of gluten-free options at breakfast. Apart from the fruit and yoghurt, the only gluten-free option was bread. Since we had asked about gluten-free options in advance, you knew that this would need to be catered for. It is easy to get some gluten-free cereals, pastries et cetera, which are in small packets and can be kept for a long time if you don’t have that many gluten-free guests. The quality of the cooked breakfast was also quite low, the bacon was excessively salty and the mushrooms tasted like ones out of a catering tin. In short, we wouldn’t recommend anyone having breakfast at the hotel.

We booked multiple rooms for an Oxford event for staff and speakers. Some rooms were small and too warm. Others were spacious and comfortable. Staff were helpful. Manager was very good.

Shabby room. Lift that broke down and no effort to fix it. Disgusting breakfast. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in

Generally, it was a nice hotel; however, cleanliness could be improved. There were random blood stains on the carpet(they got more every day which was weird!), mould in the shower, some fluff on the duvet, and a huge spider in my room that came out from underneath the bed when I lifted the duvet. This made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned if a spider was able to hide there. There was also a bathroom floor tile in the middle of the doorway that had been installed unevenly, leaving one corner sticking up. I always had to remember to step around it when entering or leaving the bathroom; otherwise, I could easily have tripped or caught my foot on it. The person in the room above me was extremely loud during the night and regularly woke me up around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday night I sent a complaint to reception, but nothing changed. As a result, I wasn't able to sleep through any of the nights.
